"Wow that was crazy," Gabby said to Matt as they walked into their apartment. "I know! The guy couldn't even remember his own cousins name," Matt answered falling onto the couch, Gabby standing in front of the TV, blocking Matts view. "Hey babe c'mon I'm trying to watch the Blackhawks Game!" Matt exclaimed making Gabby move. "Why was Kelly at Molly's alone?" Gabby asked him as she sat down next to him, kicking up her feet and laying her head on his chest. Matt stroked her hair and sighed. "They got in a fight," he said. Gabby rolled her eyes and sighed. "I bet I'm going to hear an ear load full of Kelly drama from Sylvie tomorrow at work," Gabby replied, Matt laughing. "We'll see. Maybe it will be the other way around."
*Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambo 61, Battalion 25 kitchen fire, 17732 Sycamore* the dispatcher said, everyone changing into their gear and hopping into the trucks driving away. When they got to the scene, Kelly slowly climbed down out of the squad truck and bent forward, taking deep breaths. Chief Boden noticed this and walked over to Kelly as truck 81 did a primary search. "Are you okay Severide?" Kelly looked up at Chief and nodded. "Yeah, just great," he replied standing up straight, Chief winking at him before walking over to his car.
"Chief we got a child in here with major burns. We need a paramedic in here," Matt said over the radio, Gabby hearing the order. "I'm going in," ️Gabby said throwing her fire jacket onto her body, grabbing a medical bag and a backboard. "Be careful Gabby!" Sylvie called out as Gabby ran into the house. Sylvie looked at Kelly who stood hunched over, shaking his head back and forth. "Are you okay?" she asked him bitterly. "I hit hangover. Listen Sylvie, I'm sorry about what I said," Kelly said, Sylvie nodding her head. "Well you know there's another way you can gain my forgiveness," Sylvie said stepping closer to Kelly, Kelly now standing up straight.
"What would that be?" he asked her, love flashing in his eyes. Sylvie grabbed his fire jacket and pulled him close. "Baby duty," she whispered patting his chest and walking away to the ambo, Kelly shaking his head and biting his lip as he watched her walk. He loved how Sylvie used things for him to do to gain her forgiveness. He thought it was pretty cute. "Chief, where's our paramedic?!" Matt yelled into the radio looking around, no signs of Gabby. Flames were starting to make their way to Matt and Herrmann, so they carefully placed the child into their arms and ran quickly out of the building. "Where's Dawson?!" Matt yelled out to everyone when he didn't see her. "She went inside when you said you needed a paramedic," Sylvie said, Matt running back into the building alone. "Gabby call out!" he yelled walking around, searching every room in the house. "Gabby call out!"
