Nezuko And Tanjiro were in pursue of Upper moon 4 as he ran away like a coward when Nezuko felt agonizing pain on her face. Her eyes widened at the realization that the sun was coming up. Tanjiro turned around in panic, having a mental battle to prioritize the demon or his sister.

Nezuko, as if reading his thoughts, grabbed his shirt and launched him towards the demon to finish it, smiling when their eyes met for the last time. When she smelled the ash of the demon, she let herself relax and let death take her.

And then she woke up.

Nezuko shot upwards. Her bamboo muzzle was gone. Looking around quickly, she realized she wasn't where she was before. She spotted a river nearby and ran towards it. Looking back at her were not her bright pink demon eyes, but her pink, with a red tint, human eyes. As if a building hit her, she started to remember everything, from her little brother Takeo being born to the moment she thought she'd close her eyes for the last time, apologizing to Tanjiro for not being strong enough through a smile.

"What the..." Nezuko breathed out before she realized she was talking again. She wasn't hungry anymore either, nor was that annoying demon voice nagging her anymore. The ends of her hair weren't orange and her nails weren't claws.

Speaking off, her hair was a lot shorter than she remembered. When she stood up, she wasn't as tall as she was either. But Nezuko knew she was about 12 when she turned so why was she so young? Looking in the water again, this time standing, she noticed she looked like she was 8 again. Her hair was a little past half her back, and she was but 135 cm tall. Her kimono looked newer too. She smiled a little when she remembered how Tanjiro would always try to buy her a new kimono and she would always refuse because she wanted her family to eat good food.

After concluding she was about 8 years old, Nezuko began exploring the forest by following the river to wherever it took her. As she was walking, she realized she wasn't getting tired but she was getting hungry. Out of curiosity, she slammed her fist on a nearby tree, causing it to make a dent. Nezuko stood in confusion; Was she a demon still? She wasn't constantly hungry nor did she have fangs or claws so she couldn't be. But why did she still have her demonic strength? It wasn't as strong as it used to be but that was probably due to age.

Deciding to test this more, Nezuko kicked the tree as hard as she could and her leg went into the stump. This wasn't as surprising since she's always had strong legs, even as a human. For the final test, Nezuko scratched his finger on some wood, but it just dripped there.

'Do I need to activate it? I did in the other world so..' Her thoughts trailed off as she tried to concentrate, but nothing happened. 'Maybe I don't have this then.' Suddenly, her body went stiff as her hands started moving on their own, forming some hand sign. And then her blood caught on fire, causing Nezuko to fall back in shock. 'What was that?! It's like I wasn't in control of my body!'

Shaking off her shock, Nezuko quickly returned to following the river as she tried to think of a reason or source for that sudden uncontrollable movement. After hours of walking, she finally decided to take a break and look for food again. But while she was looking, her demonic senses heard something faint, but coming from a world of demons Nezuko made sure she was careful as she approached the direction of the noise. Not seeing anything, Nezuko was about to go back to the river when her sixth sense started going off like crazy, and someone appeared in her view. She couldn't see anything else besides a chest armor plate before she was knocked out.

The man caught Nezuko and lifted them bridal style as they made their way to Konohagakure, the village hidden in the leaves.
