Earth, Moon, and Parasites

The moon. Thousands of miles away from this dying planet. What was once a beautiful mixture of blues and greens. Dashes of pinks, yellows, oranges, and browns. Now turned into thick black smog and decaying musty green and browns. The once sparkling blue sea turned into the black smog filled sky. Thick streams of a slippery substance that only pollutes the good left of this once beautiful planet.
More of a parasite than a blessing. The human race only knows how to take and destroy what's not theirs. Very few are trying to help, but the world is back together. Fix it and restore its beauty. The one where Humans and wildlife could coincide with each other. No one was above another.

The moon. A rock of glowing comfort stuck in the Earth's dying rotation. The Earth's loving, forever partner. How do they feel? Watching the parasite's Earth created drain them of life? Moon? Will you sob tears of sorrow for your partner? Or do you feel suffocated, hatred because these parasites have now become interested in you? Are you scared and wondering, "Am I next?"
This parasite hopes you're not. I am self aware. I know what I do doesn't help. I know the things I've done only made everything worse. I'm trying to figure out what I can do to help. What I can do to save our once beautiful mother. I hope the moon stays safe. It's the one comfort I get from this.
I always thought it would be beautiful to live alone with the moon. Watching asteroids fly by, the stars burning bright, and the sun's waves of heat happily dancing across each planet.
