(Modern setting)

"Can you remind me again, please? Why am i friends with you?" The science genuis groaned towards his female friend. As the said female was grinning at him from ear to ear.

"You're lonely that's why." She answered proudly.

"Incorrect dumbass, I have Taiju as my friend also." Senku said rubbing his temples at the headace he was recieving.

"But he's not always around~ And since he gotten a girlfriend it would be a matter of time where you'll be all by yourself again." (Y/n) teased as she poked the leek haired's cheeks.

"I'll be glad that I'm alone. But i can't because of a certain idiot." He said as he gave you not so threatening glare.

"Yeah, sure say what you want. You're glad you have me." (Y/n) said back with a confident smile on her face.

"I wouldn't bother correcting you since arguing with you has no sense." Senku sighs before eyeing his current work in progress.

Deciding to just finish his project up than doing nothing. He gets his tools from his previous room to start working only to be blocked by his self proclaimed bestfriend. (They are literally friends since they were kids.)

"Nope. You are absolutely not working today." (Y/n) firmly said blocking his entrance from the door.

(Y/n) may be stupid but she was still physically stronger than him. Curse his twink like build. If only learning science could give him stamina and muscles.

"Move out of the way, doofus. I need to do something to properly function as a human being." Senku said trying to find a way to escape from you.

"I'll let you work.. if-" Before you can continue Senku was already complaining.

"Oh god, no." Senku grumbled putting his hands towards his face.

"We're going to the aquarium!" You exclaimed dragging the already drained scientist to get him properly dressed up.

After getting him to dress up, or more like getting forced to. You both commute towards the aquarium to give the scientist his well deserved rest.

Upon arriving at the aquarium your eyes sparkled at the sight of the colorful corals and fishes from within the tanks.

Moving close to the tanks pointing at fishes for Senku to see as he would sometimes spat out random facts about the fish you were pointing at. You listen intently to his words despise not understanding anything he was saying.

"Then what do you call a fish with no eye?" You asked

"Myxine Circifrons." Senku replied without batting an eye.

(Y/n) stared at him before a smile creep to her face then saying "...fsh"

"For fucks sake, (Y/n)." Despise on what he said there was a smile on his face.

Finding her idiotic jokes unbelievably humorous to him. He believe that growing up with her will make him tired of her jokes. Apparently not it seems cause it still doesn't fail to bring a smile to his face.

"A close look at our aquarium from above! Any volunteers?" One of the employees asked gaining the attention of the pair.

"Oh, can I!?" You exclaimed excited to take a closer look at the creatures from above.

"Of course ma'am! Now, if would you please follow me." The staff said gesturing you as you looked back at Senku.

"Don't you dare go home without me." You said gesturing him as you keep a close eye on the staff to not get lose also glancing back at Senku.

"Y'know that's a good idea for an idiot like you." Senku said with an evil smirk smirk on his face.

You released an pretend offended gasp mouthing how dare he. The moment you were gone behind the door of the staff room. Senku released a small laugh as he take a look around the place appreciating the scenery.

Staring at one of the aquarium he was lost in trance within his mind as he slowly reminisce the past. On how two of you became friends exactly.

Since the both of you were kids, You have the tendency to be little clumsy but when the two of you got close. Senku notice how you became careful of your surroundings, since he always scolds you to be more careful.

"Sen-chan!" He heard your call as you wave at him from above the aquarium he was spacing out on.

"Shut up now will you?" He sigh as he watch you from below and the staff  beside you was instructing you on how to feed the fishes from below.

Out of nowhere a squid comes near the surface and without any reason at all spat some ink at (Y/n)'s face. Senku who was watching it all happened has to cover his mouth to stop his laugh as he held his other hand at his hurting stomach.

But it didn't last long before he burst out of laughing when (Y/n) tried to dive in to fight the squid.

Hearing his laughter, You turned around to find him to give him a wave despise still having some ink on your face. He in turn still has his smile as he wave back.

Once you were properly cleaned up you got back to Senku's side who was still snickering at your misfortune.

"Man, you gotta love that squid yeah?" Senku teased as he looked at you.

"I'm going to have squid for dinner tonight." You grumbled as Senku chuckled at your response.

As the both of you got home you prepared for the ingredients for tonights dinner. Calamares (Crispy Fried Squid).

Senku in return turned on the tv and was greeted by the local news.

"Looks like someone from our local aquarium tried to fight a squid today and ended up getting inked." The reporter said getting another a good snicker from Senku as he took a glance at you.

You were glaring at the squid that you guys bought before chopping it.

"Well maybe the squid was being an asshole." You grumbled as Senku in return shake his head in amusement.

"You clean up. I'll take care of the cooking, I can still see ink smudges on your face." Senku insists grabbing the knife from your hand.

"But you still need to rest." You complained looking at him.

"I had my rest plenty enough. At the aquarium. So, thank you for that." He replied to which you blink at surprised.

"You? Thanking me? Oh my god, are you really Senku?" You exaggerate before getting a slap on the head.

"Just clean up now will you?" Despise his harsh tone. The smile was ever still present on his face.

"I really like your smile, Senku." You comment out of nowhere before you dash towards the bathroom.

"You're the reason for it, dumbass."
