witnesses everything under its view,
both the innocent and heinous.
A man walks towards the ocean bank,
his dead eyes blooming
as the waves raged with his every step.
He silently turns and sees the flames
of countless torches,
stretching from the east to the west
mimicking the horizon.
He slowly turns back
to face taunting waters.
