On the the morning of August 28th it was announced by YG that Nina's grandma had died. It was announced that Nina would attend the VMA's and after that she would fly to Germany to be with her family now it has been revealed that Nina will be going on hiatus and temporary halting all of her upcoming activities.
YG confirmed this matter with this Statement: "Hello this YG Entertainment. Due to recent events Nina has been dealing with high level of anxiety. Starting today August 30th 2022 Nina will be halting all activities which include BLACKPINK's. Nina has expressed that she would like to film BLACKPINK's upcoming MV.
Nina and her grandma were really close. We have talked with Nina and the rest of the BLACKPINK members and we decided that Nina will sit out of Born Pink promotion to focused on her health. We want make sure that she gets the help she and fully rested so that she could maybe join BLACKPINK for promotions." -YG Entertainment
We wish speedy recovery and hope she can join BLACKPINK once again for their upcoming promotions.
