Chirp. Chirp.

You were taking a leisure walk in the afternoon. A figure was trailing closely beside you as she worriedly looked around. She was Ajitani Hifumi, a student from Trinity with an obsession with a... particular series of characters.

Wearing her usual pristine white Trinity uniform, along with her trusty large, albeit somewhat cumbersome backpack, she trudged alongside you.

"It seems that everyone keeps avoiding us... I wonder why?"

That's right. The reason Hifumi was looking around with a worried expression plastered on her face was that the place you took a leisure walk was the black market itself. You and she have been walking in this place for a few hours now, and almost everyone you came across seemed to quickly scurry away at the sight of the two of you.

"Heh, maybe they're scared of the legendary Faust." You chuckled in response. She turned toward you with a troubled look. "P-Please don't remind me of that..."

"Heh, right..." You let out a wry chuckle as you returned your gaze to the front. This wasn't a leisure walk per se, but your current objective was to accompany Hifumi as she is searching for brand new Peroro merchandise.

Seeing that the last time she was here she got roped into robbing a black market bank with the Abydos bunch and living to tell the tale, you took it upon yourself to prevent her from getting into... unnecessary troubles.

"Ah, there it is, finally! Let's go, Sensei!" She exclaimed delightedly as she pointed to an unremarkable building, hurrying her steps. "Hm? Alright." You dutifully followed closely behind.

You entered the store, your eyes glancing over the things they had for sale. It was closer to a pawn shop than anything else. Illegal gears, heavily modified vehicle parts, experimental explosives; you name it, this place probably got it.

A grey wolf-man with a scar running across his left eye was attending the store. He was reading the newspaper as the smell of smoke wafted through the air. Hifumi neared the attendant as she waved her hands in front of her nose, coughing due to the obnoxious smell.

She caught his attention as he gave a quick, disinterested glance toward her before he returned to his newspaper-

Until a fraction of a second later, he realized who her companion was.

His eyes widened in surprise and panic as he slammed his newspaper down, surprising Hifumi who was halfway to the counter. Unbeknownst to the resident Trinity, you silently shushed your finger with a smile...

He nodded with sweat on his forehead as you followed Hifumi's footsteps. "W-What do you need, girl?" He asked with a stutter that was unbecoming for someone with a bulky figure like him. "Erm, uh..." Hifumi tried to speak, but it seemed the shop owner's figure was too... menacing for her.

You sighed wryly and gave her shoulder a reassuring pat. She turned her gaze toward you as she calmed down under your palm. "Go on." You encouraged her. She nodded and returned her attention to the shopkeeper. "Fuuh..." She inhaled deeply, steeling herself for what was to come.
