"How's your head?" A male voice spoke. The raven haired male walked into sight of Enya. The dungeon was dimly lit but she could see who had come to visit.
"Keir, it is a bit sore. I can hardly stand without feeling like it will explode." Enya stated placing a hand on her bandages.
"Well, in my opinion, a sore head is better than death." Keir stepped closer to the dungeon door and knelt down. "Enya, I-" Keir was cut off.
"I don't want your sympathy. Silas would always rather sacrifice something than admit defeat." Enya teared up and gulped. Keir's arm reached through the bars and gently brushed his fingers against Enya's porcelain coloured cheek. A small sob escaped her followed by a sniffle.
"Don't touch me." Enya stated knocking his hand away.
"As you wish." Keir nodded retreating his hand.
"Why am I here? Have you imprisoned me too? Where is this place?" Enya blurted out question. She even through some left over food at him.
A chuckle escaped Keir's lips as he shook his head. He licked his lips and sat back on the stone floor.
"You think so little of me now. You aren't a prisoner, we are at the castle I am owed but your precious knight has something I need to unlock something very important here. And you are here because someone we both cared for dearly has thrown us aside for his ego. What happened to the care you once had for me?" Keir glanced over at Enya at the same time she glanced up at him. The moment where there eyes met seemed to make the room feel lighter before Enya broke the contact.
"You betrayed me, us, you-." Enya stopped herself from talking. She clenched her fists and moved herself further from the door.
"If that is what Silas told you then it was a lie. He abandoned me." Keir stated running his fingers through his hair. "Believe what you want, if you wish to know the truth, just say so. Rest well, Enya." Keir stood back up and walked away. Enya breathed heavily and stared through the bars watching him leave. She got changed into the clean clothes before the girl returned with blankets.
"Here you go, M'lady." The girl said setting the blankets down.
"Thank you so much. What is your name?" Enya asked.
"Me name is Mila, M'lady." She answered before bowing her head. A small smile appeared on Enya's face.
"It is lovely to meet you, Mila. I'm Enya. Thank you for all your help." Enya bowed her head in return. Mila smiled before tucking her fire red hair behind her ears and quickly left the cell.
Enya sighed happily and set herself up a place to sleep. Her set up was one blanket underneath her, one under her head and one to keep her warm. Once Enya found a relatively comfortable position she wrapped the blankets around her and slowly drifted off to a deep sleep.~Three years ago~
Enya was riding her horse towards the fire filling the forest just outside of the manor walls.
"Silas? Where is Keir?" She yelled out as Silas came into view.
"He started the fire. He told me we were going to retrieve a crystal that belonged to my kingdom. He took the crystal and started the fire." Silas barely got out as he panted heavily.
"Is he alright!?" Enya yelled at Silas. The blonde male shrugged and ran towards other knights moving towards him. She rode into the fire and jumped off of her horse.
"Keir!" She yelled out and ran around the flames. A small branch fell and landed on her shoulder causing her to cry out in pain.
"Enya!" Keir called out before rushing toward her. His arms embraced her.
"Where is Silas?" His face was filled with terror.
"He's out of the forest, we need to go." Enya stated and grabbed Keir's arm pulling him toward the exit. Keir let go of her and the next thing Enya knew she was in a medical ward with a bandaged arm.
"Enya!" Cried out Silas who pulled her into a tight embrace. "You're finally awake. It's been three days."
"Three days?" She said slightly drowsily.
"Yes. Three days."
"Keir?" She asked looking around pushing Silas away. "Keir!" She called out.
"He isn't here. After he carried you out of the fire, he vanished. Took the crystal and abandoned us." Silas looked down and Enya went quite.Silas woke up the next morning, Celia in his arm, a smile on her face as she was staring at him.
"Good morning, saviour." She stuck out her tongue biting it gently before getting out of the bed. Silas sighed deeply and placed one arm over his eyes.
"If you wish to stare at me so much, you should lock me in a glass cage. I'm sure you would love that." He said before sitting up.
"If I had a glass cage with you in it. How would I touch you? As much as I enjoy looking, I love to touch too." Celia smirked pulling on a robe. "When do you return to the citadel? I'm sure your father will be wondering how you freed the prisoners." Celia began to braid her hair. Silas got out of the bed and pulled on his trousers.
"That is a question for after breakfast." He smiled. Silas watched how Celia's skin glowed much like his when sunlight hit it.
"Elven skin has always been something that caught human eyes, is that why you always stare? Because even your own skin seems to be a mystery, half elf king?" Celia looked at Silas. His hand gripped her throat.
"Watch what you say." He spat in her face as he spoke before stepping away. Celia placed her hand gently on her throat.
"My apologies." She whispered.
