------ Paige POV -----
After we lost our families both me and Ash were sent to multiple foster homes. None of them wanted us. House after house until finally they have up and put us in The Happy Smiles Orphanage. We arrived a week apart and instantly became best friends. It's 10 years later and were still best friends with bad attitudes and mischievous brains.
...
"Ash."
"Ya?"
"Want to steal Mandy's bear tonight?"
Ash sits up and looks at me.
"No. Actually I was thinking we could so something else."
Me and ash have been partners in crime since the first week we got here. Mandy is a 6 year old girl who lives in the room next door. She's addicted to this one mangled teddy bear. Her parents left her at the orphanage doors when she was 5 weeks old and ever since she's never let go of that teddy bear so, as the horrible people we are, we steal it.
"Well.. What were you thinking?" I ask.
"You'll see." He winks at me.
We've never done anything more than a few simple tricks so this is a big deal. but that's about all we can do because The Orphanage is big on ignoring kids and keeping everyone 'contained'.
"Oh please tell me." I say while batting my eyelashes. He laughs and looks out the window into the landscape past the building.
"Ugg fine. When do we start? " I grumble, giving in.
"After bedtime."
"Oooh." I chuckle and we head out to eat.
...
Today we had a Olivier Twist style meal Along with beans and milk.
Once we were done eating we head down to the playroom.
You see the managers here labeled everything like a mall. There's freaking maps and wings everywhere. Right now were in The Play Wing where we all get to play for a few hours each day. Me and Ash are both 15 so we babysit the little kids. By babysit I mean torture. Were always messing around with them and hiding them in closets. There's one girl that we both really like though, her name is Anne. She'll be 7 in a few weeks and she's the sweetest little girl you've ever met.
"Paygy!" She says while running over to me. I scoop her up and tickle her nose.
"Uh oh!! I got your nose!!!" I start running around the playroom while she chases after me.
"No!! I need that!!!" She's laughing as she topples over the play blocks in a heap of color.
"Gibbbitmabk!!!" Her speech is messed up by the blocks and random fits of giggles. I pick her up again and sit her on my lap in a bean bag.
"Here you go." I 'reattach' her nose and tell Ash to pick up the blocks.
"How was your day?" I ask.
"Good!" She replies smiling her toothless grin.
"That's good. You want to put together the princess puzzle?"
...
After 2 hours of putting and reputting the puzzle together again, it's time for bed. I lay in my bed fully dressed and ready for Ash to come get me.

"They can hear you." I hear a raspy voice say.
My eyes fly open and I look around. Guess I fell asleep.

3 minutes later Ash walks in and we leave the Sleeping Wing.
"Now will you tell me where we're going please?"
"Nope." He replies with his usual snarky attitude.
"UGGGG!"
"Now I need you to follow my lead and don't say a word!!!!"
We creep along the passage way until
were almost to the front office.
"Ash..."
He shushes me and continues to creep down the passage. The main guard is asleep as usual but Ash pays no attention to him. He whips out a key and presses it into the door, silently stepping into the cold night.
