He followed her out onto the balcony. It had already started to drizzle. Facing away from him. She watched people duck into stores or hide in the safety of their cars.

"I'm sorry." His voice was a whisper in the wind. "I'm so sorry. I lied to you."

She whipped around, her eyes blazing with fury.

"Why!" She yelled for all of Etril to hear.

"Was I not worth the truth?"

He raked a finger through his hair. The silence was thick, only disturbed by the pitter-patter of raindrops. He watched her desperate for an answer.

Her back turned towards the balcony's railing. She glared at him. If you could get past the look on her face, she looked angelic. Cast in a halo of what's left of the disappearing sun.

     Disappearing.

     like her trust.

"I'm sorry" he whispered one more time in a feeble attempt to right things.

Her eyes narrowed in disgust. "And how many times will you be sorry?"

His reply drowned out by the rain. The little drizzle had turned into a downpour.

She shook her head and gave him one last look before walking away.
