As a Trainer (Self Instert Y/N) starts his journey, he starts catching eyes for runner up champion, Raihan. Which leads to complicated relationships, troubled feelings, and a very convoluted story in-between the 2 of them.
(Both characters are 18+)...
After waking up 2 hours late, Trainer and Wooloo rush out of the hotel in the morning and head straight to Hulbury, home of the Water-Type Gym. While running late, Trainer goes through Route 5, in which he encounters a lady running a Pokémon Daycare. Trainer was stopped by her. She asked if he was a part of the League. He was sweating and in a hurry so he just quickly nodded yes. The daycare lady said that for the ongoing league, they're giving away mystery eggs.

Trainer, just wanting to speed up the conversation, kept nodding and just took the egg she handed him. Trainer kept running to Hulbury, with Wooloo by his side and an egg in his arms in which he did not know what Pokémon it held. As Wooloo and him made their way to Hulbury they got into the gym by the skin of their teeth.

Again, they were in the break room with the rest of the League Trainers. When it was their turn, thats when it hit him. He only has Wooloo and their about to battle Nessa, the Water-Type Gym Leader. With his nerves all over the place and Wooloo by his side, He steps out onto the battlefield.

He looked up into the crowd to see if he could find some type of comfort in seeing that the dragon-type gym leader, Raihan being there. Oh who is he kidding, that would only make Trainer even more nervous. Except he isn't there. Actually, none of the gym leaders are there. Whatever. We have a battle to get to.
The battle starts and despite Wooloo's best efforts, Nessa Dynamaxed her Drednaw, and that's when he knew there was no chance of Wooloo winning. (Which also reminded Trainer that he needed to get a Dynamax Band) Dynamaxed Drednaw took out Wooloo in 1 hit. And with that, Trainer was done for. (What'd you'd think would happen? Plot armor?) Trainer started walking out of the gym, defeated. Wooloo was healed but didn't feel so good about what just happened either. As they were walking out of the gym, they accidentally bumped into someone-

"Hey!"
- Trainer tried to play it cool but he was wide-eyed and freaking out inside. It was Raihan in the gym lobby.
"Didn't win this time did you?"
"No, haha"
- Trainer replied in a regretful manner.
"I'll make sure to keep up with you Trainer. I'll see you around in other matches."
"Haha okay see you around too."
- Trainers heart was pounding faster than ever. He just talked to Raihan!

Trainer walked out of the gym and sat on the sidewalk, with Wooloo on his side and the egg in his hands. He felt terrible about his defeat, but he didn't let it get too him since he was excited about talking to Raihan. As Trainer was excitedly repeating his last interaction with Raihan in his mind, the egg cracked.
