A Doubtful Heart

Syn closed his eyes and let himself lay on his bed. The day was already being long and tomorrow he would have to go to class and see Him again. Maybe sleeping was the best idea.
A notification made him open his eyes though.

A text from NUER

The morning came before Syn could even really sleep. He had been wondering all night and now was even more tired. Getting of his bed, he found the strength to get ready and leave.
For once though, he didn't try coming to early. Having to confront Nuer eyes when he had just arrived was way too hard for him. At least by coming a little bit later than usual he would maybe be able to avoid any face to face with the guy he was now struggling with.

Kuea was the first one to see him coming and smiled brightly as if he knew something Syn's didn't.

'' What happened? ''

'' Hello Syn! So... Did You gave him a chance? ''

'' A chance? To whom? ''

Kuea looked curiously at him before just shaking his head from left to right and leading him to their friends group.

'' Whatever. Come we have to discuss about our final project for this year. ''

Syn nodded even though he felt that he was missing an information. However when he sat with his friends, the first thing he noticed was that Nuer wasn't there. Trying to ignore the fact that he was somehow looking for him he tried to focus on the conversation about how they should divide the work and what would be the groups if the teachers asked them to be a smaller group and so on.

'' I am going to buy a drink, who wants one? ''

Asked one of their friend.

All of them except for Syn wanted to drink something, so after arguing with each other they made up their mind to go together as Syn would stay there.

Reading the program of this year, Syn didn't really mind waiting for them and was taking notes. Underlying and writing all the important informations he needed to remember, he didn't realize that someone had just sit next to him.

'' Syn. ''

He froze.
It was Nuer's voice. Just hearing his voice he felt his heart beating faster and couldn't help but turn his head to see his face.
At the exact moment their eyes met, Syn felt like nothing else matter. He just wanted them to hug and laughed. He lifted his hand as if he wanted to touch Nuer's cheek but stopped. However, as he stopped he realized that Nuer was looking  mesmerized, at his hand. He seemed that he was also waiting for them to be close again.
Syn put back his hand and his heart felt heavy when he saw Nuer looked at the ground with a sad face.

'' You received my text? ''

Asked Nuer.

'' I didn't... What did you want to tell me? ''

Nuer took a deep breath before answering. His voice was suddenly more confident and he locked his eyes into Syn's.

'' I don't know how to make you forgive me but... I'd like to pursue you. I never really acted in a way that would make you feel like you are the only one for me. So allow me to start over and show you how important you are to me. ''

Syn widened his eyes because of the surprise. He, indeed, didn't read the text Nuer sent him the night before because he thought it would make him stressed. But now he kind of regret it. If he had he would have been able to think about it and chose the better option, now, he just wanted them to be together again without the need of any '' pursue ''. He shook mentally his head and took a deep breath to give himself strength.

'' Do whatever you want. ''

Nuer smiled, even though deep inside he felt that Syn was colder to him than usual. It was his fault. But he didn't lose faith, he had to make things change. After talking to Pran and Kuea He was now even more aware of how he wouldn't be able to live without Syn.

'' Then allow me to take you out to eat tonight ''

'' I - "

'' You told me that I could do whatever I want to, so please let me try my best. ''

'' I am not ready to eat with you again yet. ''

Syn said before even thinking. He looked at Nuer as he felt his eyes get teary because of how upset he was with himself. Why was it so hard for him to forgive Nuer. He didn't want to sound mean to Nuer but it was as if he couldn't help it.

'' Then I'll Just pursue you as if we had just met. ''

Nuer then ruffled Syn's hair and left, leaving a dumbfounded kind of boyfriend there.

'' So you did gave him a chance ''

Said Kuea arriving with their friends and drinks.

'' You were aware, right? ''

'' Yes, it was actually an Idea of KhonDiao. Nuer asked me for help and since I wasn't going to do so, KhonDiao decided to act as the good guy in the story. So now let's see how it goes, but don't fall too easily, you have to make him remember that you are worth more than a bet. ''

Syn nodded slowly. Kuea was going too fast on the step '' forgiving '' but Syn did got the idea : he wasn't going to let himself fall too easily. He would have to be strong and see if Nuer could really be worthy of this forgiveness.

'' The class is about to start, let's go. ''

All of them went to their class, talking about different things while Syn was still thinking about how would Nuer pursue him.
What was pursuing anyway? He never had the occasion to experiment it so he was now even more nervous at the idea.

Arriving at the entrance of the class, Kuea ruffled his hair.

'' If he is too much and makes you feel uncomfortable tell me. ''

Syn nodded and enter the class where at the exact place he was going to sit, was a red rose laying on his table with a little word written on a paper.

'' Syn it is said it is for you. '' said a random person in the class.

Syn walked there and read, taking carefully the flower in his hand :

Be my rose and I'll promise to remove all the thorn that would be an obstacle to our love.

No signature but it was definitely Nuer's writing.
Kuea, reading behind his shoulder, laughed simply before saying

'' Easy to say for the one being the thorn. ''

AHHH I'm so exciting about how the story line is going. What about you??

So, yes! I'm writing a lot lately because I :

1) feel inspired
2) need to practice my English
3) kind of want to see if they can get an happy ending ~

But can we really forgive this behavior?
