[Play: Mad Woman by Taylor swift]
A/N: This story is going to be more on the slow burn side, since Willow has a lot of trauma to unpack, and Bucky is a big grump by nature here. Also if you all are wondering I imagine Oliver as Stanley Tucci. The icon that he is. I HAD TO OKAY?!
CW: Abuse, verbal and physical. Alcoholism.

Six months ago, Upstate New York.
Willow strides in through the door, slamming her keys on the table. It was an hour before her husband Caleb was supposed to come home from "work," but she knew he had been at the pub, making it inevitable for him to be shitfaced at his arrival, always busting through the door and smelling of revolting alcohol.
She had been in a marriage with him for six years. They met in high school and got married at 20 right out of the gate. Willow didn't see the red flags... but who ever does when they are in love?
His drinking grew worse and worse over the years, and she grew a fear of it. If she ever saw him grab a glass out of their cabinet, she gritted her teeth. Her hazel eyes flicked to notice him washing it out and filling the glass with rum or other hard liquor.
Nothing made her happy anymore. She missed her joyful self. The girl who would anticipate seeing her boyfriend walk through the door every day to kiss him, watching him drive away and counting down the seconds until he returned from work.
All of that is gone now.
She enters the kitchen and finds dirty dishes stacked in the sink, knowing he left all his shit for her to pick up. It was always her. She did the laundry. She did the dishes. She took out the trash—all of it.
Willow was so kind-hearted she didn't fight him about it or stand up for herself. She learned to keep her mouth shut and avoided stirring the pot with Caleb.
Even sex was less and less as time went on. Not like he ever took care of her anyway. She thought the pain was normal until she talked to her best friend Yelena about it, and she told her otherwise. So what did Willow do? She tried improving the situation. She hired a relationship therapist for them to attend appointments every week. Caleb lost it and told her she was crazy for even mentioning a problem in the relationship.
That night he drunkenly fucked her like she was an object. Using her for release and not even comprehending he was the reason she made the decision.
He came and fell asleep as soon as he rolled off of her.
Willow broke down in the bathroom as his cum dripped down her thighs. She was sniffling on the floor naked, hating her life and wondering if love was even real anymore.
She shakes her head, trying to avoid the horrid memory and begins her daily chores, finishing washing the dishes and drying them. She takes out the trash and changes her clothes into something more respectable, so Caleb won't notice she was wearing a "slutty dress" in his eyes. When it was just above her knees in length, it made her look like she sort of had an incredible figure.
Willow was slim, with chiseled features. Striking hazel eyes that were more on the forest green side, with caramel hair that fell past her lanky shoulders. She was beautiful but wasn't comparable to the curvy models and women Caleb would point out on the streets.
She was always told she was lovely as a child, but when she was with him, he said she needed to eat a burger or would force her to finish a plate. Willow wasn't unhealthy, the doctors told her so, but her mental health was starting to deplete.
