Finally! After 3 years trapped in Saudi Arabia, I'm finally back in Ohio. The seconds pass slowly as I wait during the drive from the airport to the house. 1.....2......3.
We finally pull up into the driveway and I run out the car. Racing up to the front door, I quickly unlock the pin and swing the door open. I run through the hallway and I see my beautiful mother standing in the kitchen, cooking. I run up to her and hug her from behind.
"Hooyo!" I cry, squeezing her as tight as I can.
It's been four months of absolute torture without her.
"Oh, Hala! It's been forever." She says as she hugs me close.
Yes hooyo, it has been forever.
I cry in her arms for what feels like forever until I finally decide to let go of her.
After everyone settles down, me and my family all sit down and have a nice happy dinner together.

2 weeks later
"Do you guys even want to switch mosques?"
"Well, yeah obviously but let's decide when we actually check out this new one."
Me and my sisters argue.
As we walk into the Masjid, dozens of men and women surround us. There is a graduation party going on. All the boys walk in wearing kaffiyeh's and white thobes.
We're not here for that though. We're here to check out the place.
After an hour of touring the area, we decide to leave.
As we go down the hall and stairs, my attention gets stolen by a man in white that I know I shouldn't but still indulge in.
"Hala."
"Zain?"
