After an unknown amount of time, I slowly regained control over my body. My sense of time was distorted, since there wasn't anything in the room to show it. After what seemed like minutes, I tried to leave this place through my only exit, that gray door. It was locked, tightly. I had no means of escape.

- No, no, no, no... No!- I shouted into the empty space, hitting the door with my fist. It's loud bang echoed for seconds, and disappeared into the nothingness. Suddenly, I tears ran across my cheeks as my legs gave up. I collapsed onto the floor, resting my back against the door. I was stuck in an empty space.

- According to the new law, any information regarding monsters is prohibited until further notice. As to whoever breaks this law, they will be punished by death.- I heard a noise coming from the opposite side of the room. A projection appeared, showing me a public gathering somewhere. I slowly stood up and walked to it, observing the scene. Some centuries must have passed, since everyone's clothing was different, and the buildings were more sophisticated.

- This child is the first to break that law.- The man standing on a podium declared. The boy, around the age of 12 wore a light gray shirt, a pink ribbon in his left pocket and a harmless looking knife was in his right pocket. My hand tried to touch the vision, but it passed right through it. I tried to activate my powers before, but maybe they would work now. I focused on the scene before me and closed my eyes. Suddenly, I felt the wind caress my skin and the sunshine warm on my face. I was back in the real world!

- Damn, I don't think my clothing is fit to be here... I should have brought a cape or something...- I thought, opening my eyes and saw a cloak on my arm. Strange. I quickly put it on and covered my head with the hood. The gathering of people was real chaos as I got closer to them. Some wanted to kill the boy, some wanted to save him Two guards were holding him while the man who must have been a leader of some kind drew out his sword. I hastily found my way through the crowd, reaching the podium.

- Are sure that the child deserves death? Isn't there some other way?- I asked the man who in return glared at me.

- As I said, the government's new law is that all information and discussion about monsters prohibited and punishable by death! Now don't interfere!- He stated again, turning back to the boy who was terrified. After the war, I don't want to see another innocent life be taken away. Stepping up to the podium, I grabbed his hand and twisted it, making him drop the weapon. He was both terrified and furious.

- He's a monster! Kill him!- He shouted at the guards who in return drew their swords. I summoned two hands and blasted the guards who were holding the child. I ran towards him and grabbed his arm, pulling him away.

- W-why are you doing this? Are.. are you really a monster?- He asked, tears forming in his eyes as we ran towards Mount Ebott. I forced a smile at him as I summoned the rest of the hands.

- You can say that, but not quite. I know the real monsters, they live inside the mountain. Go there, and find someone named Gaster. Say that Lukas sent you, and he'll protect you.- I said to him, caressing him cheek to calm him down. He silently nodded and continued down the path while I stayed to stall the angry mob.

- There it is! Destroy that creature!- The leader shouted as the civilians were coming to attack me with pitchforks. In the end, I only protected myself, refusing to hurt innocent lives like in the war. The leader only burst forth when the most aggressive ones destroyed the shield and the hands, and pinned me down. He was holding his sword with his other hand, pointing it at my throat. Before I could say anything, he pierced me, and I felt my soul break, again.
