"So what you're telling me is... Somehow I have got my magic from you?" I asked from Dr. Gaster as the guards lowered their guns. My father's face shifted from shock to anger in mere seconds. His face darkened, slowly walking towards me. The monsters walked towards Gaster, most of them focused on Frisk.
"Give us Frisk back!" The taller skeleton demanded, looking at the guard holding the child. He seems to be around the age of 12, but the monsters considered him a family member, as the queen was more than worried. She looked terrified at the thought of her child taken away from her. I sighed loudly, drawing attention to myself.
" Please, we can solve this peacefully. We must-" My father stopped me mid-sentence, with a powerful slap. Because of it, I fell down on to the ground, feeling the rough surface under my palms.
" Didn't I warn you? No magic! We wanted to solve this quietly, without witnesses! If they just die, then we can live in peace!" He snapped at me, anger burning in his eyes. I felt anger erupt from me, finally letting all of my frustrations out.
" Can't you finally understand?! They are living beings just like us! They have families and friends! They aren't like animals like all of you think! For once, just believe in me!" I shouted, feeling tears blur my sight. As I let my emotions control me, I slowly got up from the ground. He looked at me in disbelief, not wanting to hear the clear facts I just said. My father didn't do anything, just stood there until a co-worker of his walked him back to the car. The others stayed, letting go of Frisk.
"Are okay, my children?" The queen asked, and I blinked not knowing why she used a plural form.
" Hey, kid.. are you ok?" The smaller skeleton asked from me, waving his hand in front of my face. I quickly wiped my tears away and smiled. I stood up for myself against my father, something that happened for the first time.
" Yes, I'm okay. Thanks for asking..." I said, trailing off. I didn't know his name, which is why I couldn't finish my sentence normally.
" The name's Sans." He said with a smile, holding out his hand. As I reached for it, Frisk looked like he was holding back a giggle. The next second, a loud fart exploded between our hands. Sans started laughing, while his brother was furious in a funny way. The other monsters were holding back a giggle, only Gaster having a big smile on his face.
Meanwhile, I simply rolled my eyes. I had fun with puns, but I didn't feel like physical jokes were funny.
" Brother! It's not nice to greet someone with your awful jokes! The human didn't like it, see?" The older brother told him, which made me giggle a little bit. My sister and I were much friendlier, and she usually giggled when I joked about something.
" Anyways, Human! I'm the Great Papyrus!" He smiled as we exchanged a handshake ( with him nearly ripping my arms off ). Then, he proceeded to introduce the other monsters to me.
" That's Undyne, the captain of the royal guard! Next to her is Alphys, the current royal scientist! You already know my brother, Sans. Then, that's Lady Asgore, then Little Asgore." He said, going from left to right. At the end, I assumed that 'Lady Asgore' was the queen, Toriel, and 'Little Asgore' was the prince.
" It's a pleasure to meet you, your royal highness." I bowed to the royal family, who became quite flustered.
" My child, there's no need to address us this highly." Toriel said as she gently put her hand on my shoulder.
" But you are royalty, aren't you?" I ask as I turn to the king.
" Don't worry young one." He said with a warm smile. I simply smiled as a response, turning to the young prince. He looked like he was the same age as Frisk, which explains how they could be friends.
" Where are my manners? I'm Lukas Reeves. I'm glad to meet all of you." I say, with the kindest smile I have. The monsters smiled, and the prince looked at me.
" Howdy. I'm Asriel. Nice to meet you, Lukas." He said, and I saw that he had such a baby face! He looked like one of those kids who will stay cute even after puberty.
" It's nice to meet you too Asriel. Now, I think that I should go. I'll go and try to get the mayor to grant you homes." I said, but as I started going towards the foot of the mountain, Gaster put his hand on my shoulder.
" Lukas, wait. I'll get you home. Your father went home, I'm sure." He said, which made realize that he was saying the truth. It was a 30 minute ride in the car to get here. Maybe I would get home at midnight.
" Thank you Dr. Gaster, but I'll-" I try to reason, but as I open my eyes, I'm already before the door of my house. As I look towards the garage, I see that our car still isn't there. It must mean that dad's still driving, or went drinking with his friends. I open the door to see my little sister sitting on the couch.
" Big bro!" She said excited, jumping off of the couch and running to hug me. I quickly opened my arms as I saw her running towards me, eventually catching her in a hug.
" Hey Daisy. Did you enjoy your weekend at auntie's?" I asked with a big smile on my face. She was the little star of our family. Our aunt, unlike our her brother, loved both of us. She was a lawyer in the city court, and had a high status in the city council. My mom didn't have any siblings, but she was a well known scientist.
" Yup! Really, did you meet some monsters?" She asked, already in for some juicy news. Surprisingly enough, she was the same age as Frisk and Prince Asriel. I smiled and chuckled and I picked her up into my arms.
" Yeah, I did. They were super friendly! And the king and queen have a son who's around your age." I started telling her, while I sat down onto the couch. A few minutes later, Mom joined us.
" Sweetie, what happened? Your cheek is bruised!" She panicked. I must have been facing her the side of my face that dad slapped.
" Don't worry, I'm fine. And before you say, it was dad who did it." I stated the last sentence coldly. Mom looked terrified and angry at the same time, but before the tension could grow, Daisy gently patted the place of the bruise.
" Is it better?" She asked with an innocent look. I nodded, then heard a car stop before our house. As mom opened the door, two men came in while holding dad. He reeked of alcohol, and was clearly drunk. They put him down on the couch, and after they left, Mom sighed painfully, then left to their bedroom.
" Is dad okay?" My little sister asked, looking at our father. I slowly nod, not wanting to say that he's okay. After hearing what she did at our aunt's place, I noticed that it was already night. I excused myself and went to the bathroom, hoping to have a little self moment while taking a hot shower. I must think about what happened today, and focus on what I can do to help the monsters.
After I finished taking the shower and drying down, I changed to my sleeping attire, climbing into the bed. I thought of ways to help the monster get homes in the city, and make the city look at them like living people, not just evil creatures. Eventually, my mind became blank as I felt my eyelids close because of how tired I was. I realized that the shields must have taken a lot energy. After that, I tried to sleep, and I succeeded in it in mere seconds.
Here you go folks, a new chapter. I'll try to fill in the gap of one month from the beginning of the 2nd season, so I'll have to get creative, that's for sure!
