"Hello? We need a cardiologist in the ER! Is there anyone available?" A nurse called and asked in the cardiologist's department
"We have Dr. Santiago. She is on her way"

Tumakbo ako pabilis sa ER. Kailangan ko pa mag exercise jusko po
"Dr. Santiago!"
Ok serious mode. May nakikita ako isang bata sa kama at isang doctor na pagod na; mukhang kaka tapos lang niya mag cpr.
"Report." sabi ko habang inobserve at chinecheck ko ang bata at ang monitor
"He is Caden Armani, 7 years old"
Armani? Why does that sound familiar? Nevermind. Focus Briella!
"He suddenly fainted while playing. According to his parents, he has CHD. He might have overdue himself. His heart rate suddenly dropped which is why I performed CPR. He is one of the patients here in our hospital. Here are his past medical records" The doctor reported. Tinignan ko ang medical records niya. He has a weak heart since he was born.
"Ok, Let us do a chest x-ray on him for me to diagnose it better. But, I think we have to do open heart surgery. You two! Prepare the chest x-ray on him" I pointed to one of the nurses and a doctor
" Nurse Stacy, fill out his parents on what's about to happen. And prepare a guardians consent form for us to do the surgery. And Nurse Jas prepare the surgery room."
"Yes, Doc" they both answered then they run to do their task
Everyone is doing their job while I am preparing for the surgery. The x-ray has to be done on the kid; just like I said earlier, we have to do Congenital heart defect repairs. Everything is ready to start the surgery
"Let us begin"

It's a success. Gosh, 2 hours have passed. But I still have to inform his parents. I have not seen them but I think they are the only ones in the waiting room. Pumunta na ko sa labas at may nakita lang ako isang babae nakaupo. Mukha siya yung nanay
"Mrs. Armani?"
Tumayo agad siya at naglakad papunta sakin
"How is he?" She asked worridly. Bago ko sagutin may isang lalaki tumakbo papunta sa amin. Yung aking tingin napapunta sa kaniya
Oh gosh. Asher?! Why is he here?!
"What happened?" Tanong niya kay Mrs. Armani. Wait. Mrs, Armani?! Is he married?! And he has a kid! And I operated on his child. Huh?? Talk about a small world
"Sasabihin pa lang ng doctor" Mukha pagod na siya at sobra pugto ang kaniyang mga mata. Tumingin na sakin si Asher para marinig ang aking sagot at dumilat ang kaniyang mata. Wow gulat na gulat. Ngumiti muna ako sa kanilang dalawa to ease them
"The surgery is a success." They both signed in relief. Well of course they will. Their child has been in danger
" We will transfer him to a room and the nurses will tell you what the room number is. It will take some time for him to wake up but usually, they will wake up in 2-3 days. I hope you both are okay now and do not have to worry. Well if you will excuse me" Pa alis pa lang ako bago ako tinawag na isang lalaking boses.
"Doc!" humarap ulit ako sa dalawa
"Yes?"
"Can the room be changed into a VIP room" Hays, yaman naman.
"Of course, I will inform the nurse"
"Thank you. And thank you for doing the surgery"
"I am just simply doing my job" I gave him a small smile and left
Just like I did years ago. Of course, he would move on. He's crazy if he's not. But why do I feel like my heart is aching; maybe I need surgery? Am I the crazy one? It has been years since we broke up. His married and has a child. Good for him. Whatever! I'm just shocked, that's all. I'm going to bed. I'm tired

"Delancie Briella!!" Bigla ako nabigla nagising dahil sa lakas ng boses. Pag bukas ko ng mata nakita ko si, ay... si Col. Ano ginagawa niya dito? Paano siya nakapunta sa on call room?
"Col. Jusko po. Paano ka naka pasok sa room? Hinde ka naman doctor. Bawal ka dito! Alis!" pag inis na sabi ko. Pag tingin ko sa oras 8am na, 4 hours lang ako natulog ughh
"Ah, kakilala ko na kasi yung senior doctor mo tinanong ko kung san room mo. Sinabi ko din sa kaniya na bigyan ka ng mahaba na break. Tara breakfast! Ito damit mo oh" Tas nag bigay siya ng isang paper bag
Wait wait. Huh? Ano? Potek ano nangyayari?
"Teka lang, paano mo kilala senior ko?"
"Ahh ako kasi nag handle ng case ng anak niya. Na biktima siya ng isang abusive relationship. Kaya kinukulit niya ko palagi baka may gusto ako favor. Edi ayun ginamit ko na lang kung san room mo at bigyan ka ng break" Hala siya! May topak talaga yata ito eh
"Wag mo ko bigyan nan ganyan mukha. Dali na magbihis ka na sa banyo nag aantay na si Leya" Tinigil ko na ang masamang tingin ko sa kaniya at pumunta na sa banyo para magbihis
"Wow naman! Galing ko talaga pumili" Inikot ko ang aking mata sa kaniya
"TEKA! Pano ka nakapasok sa apartment ko para kumuha ka ng damit"
"Diba bingay mo sakin susi mo" iniisip ko kung kaialn ko binigay pero hinde ko matandaan
"Huh? Kailan?"
"Nung lasin ka sabi mo pag nalasing ka ulit ako maghahatid" Tapos sabay tawa siya
"G**o! Halika na nga nagugutom na ko"
"Yes maam!"
"Ikaw manlibre ah" tas lumabas na kami ng kwarto.
Nung malapit na kami sa entrance ng hospital may bigla may tumawag sa aking pangalan
"Dr. Santiago!" Tumingin kami ni Col sa direksyon sa naririnig namin na boses at nakita namin si... Asher?!
Tumingin ako kay Col at nakikita ko na nagulat siya tumitingin siya kay asher at pabalik sakin
"Oh, Mr. Armani! May i help you?" Tanong ko sa kaniya na may kasama na maliit na ngiti
"Uh" Tumingin siya sa akin at kay Col tas pabalik ulit sakin
"Mr. Armani? Is everything alright? Is Caden okay?!" Pag aalala na tanong ko. May nangyari ba?! Did I do something wrong?
"Uh no! Everything is fine" Phew kala ko may nangyari
"Oh ok, so why did you call for me" Napatingin ako kay Col dahil tumingin na siya sa kaniyang relo mukha nakita din yun ni Asher
"Ay sorry. May pupuntahan ba kayo?"
"Oh, we will be just on our way to eating breakfast. Have you eaten? You and Mrs. Armani must have worried and didn't get to eat anything"
" Ah, we will eat later. Thanks for your concern. I just wanna say thank you again. Uhm, will he be fully recovered when he wakes up? His health will not be worst right?"
"You don't have to thank me, I took an oath. As for Caden, we will check him once he wakes up. We just need to hope everything is fine. Don't worry, we will try our best for him to recover fully and his health doesn't get worst"
"Thank goodness. Uh, Well enjoy your breakfast both of you" then he left
"Potek ano yun!? What Iz The Meaning Of Diz? Nagkabalikan na kayo? Tinadhana nga naman" Habang naka harap na sakin
"Baluga ka talaga! Dadalhin na kita sa mental hospital eh. Mamaya ko na ikwento. Halika na nga nag aantay si Leya" At lumabas na kami ng hospital at pumunta sa isang coffee shop"
