"You forgot this." Namjoon threw the shirt on the girl's face. "Can you be more kind?" she looked at his face.
"Someone decided to cheat on me. Should've thought before doing that." he backed towards her saying that.
"You didn't even let me explain." she argued. "You literally got caught red handed Heejin. No matter what you tell me. You know it yourself that trust is like glass. Once shattered into pieces, it may even hurt you while picking the pieces up." Namjoon spoke in a stern voice.
The relationship of two years, which everyone considered as unbreakable shattered down.
Last night after coming back home from his friend's studio, Namjoon's heart ached watching the love of his life with someone else on their bed. No matter how much Heejin tried to explained, the thing between them was over now. Namjoon told her to move out from his apartment right away. She was gone now, forever for god's sake.
Namjoon didn't picked up anyone's call for a few days. He was all alone. Going through all of that alone. Then one day as he was gonna skip that one call, he read the caller's name.
"Jieun-ssi"
He picked it up without even thinking anything. "Hello." the female said from the other side. "Yes, Jieun-ssi. What brings you up to call me?"
"Well, if you're free today, can we meet up in the udon bar near the library?" she asked hesitantly. "Why?" Namjoon asked. He really didn't wanted to go anywhere with anyone. "Well, I'll tell you about that when we meet. So are you up?"
He couldn't disagree with her idea. He knew that she has nothing to do with his heartbreak. And for how much will he even isolate himself? "Sure then." And then the call disconnected.
He wore a long brown coat and black pants. With his spectacles on, he locked his house's door and went out.
Meanwhile, Jieun was excited for this meet up, for some reason even she didn't knew. She wore a baby pink coloured shirt, gifted to her by her best friend with ripped pants on. She left the house and was now waiting for the bus at the bus stop.
After a few 10 minutes, she finally arrived. Namjoon was waiting for her near the restaurant's door. As he licated her through his eyes, he called her there. After entering the restaurant, "Two bowls of udon noodles." He turned towards her, "Do you drink soju?" She nodded. "Two bottles of soju too." Namjoon said to the waitress there.
They took a seat and Jieun started the conversation. "You must've been waiting for a long time."
"Not much." He removed his coat and sat with his white turtle neck sweatshirt on. "It's just a 5 mintues route for me." He continued.
"Do you live nearby?" She moved her head a little forward. "The apartment on the opposite side of the highway. What about you? Do you live nearby?" He asked her.
"In the neighborhood, down the first bus stop."
The waitress placed down their udon noodles, soju and a pair of glasses on the table. They started the meal and continued with their conversation. "So, how have you been doing nowadays?" Jieun asked straight faced to Namjoon. "Well, I recently broke up with my girlfriend. Nothing more than that." A moment of silence between them, "Oh, sorry. I shouldn't have asked that. Anyways what do you do for a living.?" Jieun tried to break the awkwardness.
"Well, I work with my mother in her business. Other than that, I also write songs. Usually in my friend's studio." Namjoon slurped the noodles in.
"Wait, YOU WRITE SONGS!?" Jieun exclaimed. "I've always wanted to release a song written by me. Can you ask your friend to have a look at my work?" Her small face had a big smile grew on it. "Well, yes sure. I guess so. We can meet him some day." Namjoon spoke soft heartedly.
"What about you? What do you do?" Namjoon asked. "Well, I read stories in braille for children to get paid a little by the children's day care. Other than that I spend most of my time in the library, listening to audio books, studying braille, etc. The library is kind of the safe place for me. I've always liked spending time their since I was a child." Jieun passed him a smile and drank a shot of soju.
After done with their little udon date, Namjoon asked if she was heading towards the library and wanted to join her if she didn't mind. They had a little walk to the library together and went in.
"It's been just a few days since we broke up after the one night stand. You didn't even let me explain and here you are with another. I wonder if you were even emotionally connected to me during our relationship Kim Namjoon." said Heejin, who was looking at the two youngsters from far apart.
They sat quietly on a seat together. Namjoon had a book with him to read. Jieun was listening an audio book. It was quiet, yet comfortable. They didn't disturbed each other but felt each other's presence.
After almost two hours, Namjoon stood up. Jieun paused her audio book and asked him if everything was okay? "It's 6 p.m. now. I guess I should leave now. Do you want me to go with you till your house?" Namjoon rested his hand on the table.
"A walk with you till there won't hurt. Also I need to get some stuff from the 24/7 store." Jieun gave out a little smile. They both left the library.
"So after throwing me out of our house, you got yourself a new hoe in a span of few days?" Heejin pushed Namjoon. Jieun was inside the store and he was waiting for her outside.
During that span of few minutes, Namjoon was again standing in front of the lady whom he hated the most at the moment. Heejin cried and pleaded Namjoon to get back with her, to allow her in his house as she had no where to go and that the guy with whom she cheated on Namjoon left her on the streets. Namjoon ignored all of that until she started to curse Jieun.
Namjoon couldn't hold it in anymore. He pushed Heejin away with all his force and warned her to get away from Jieun and not to do anything shitty anymore.
The moment Jieun came out of the store, Namjoon held her hand and dragged her with him down the alley. Before Jieun could speak anything she realised that something was wrong in the atmosphere and decide to keep shut for the moment.
As they reached their destination, Jieun spoke, "Who was that lady? Why was she yelling at you?" "My ex-girlfriend, Heejin. She was pleading me to get back with her. She also misunderstood you as my new h- girlfriend.” Namjoon opened the gate for Jieun. He didn't wanted to talk about anything anymore is what Jieun thought. She went inside and waved at his figure for the last time.
“Namjoon-ah why? Please come back to me. Please! Come back!”
Namjoon got back home late after visiting his friend's studio. But he couldn't do anything other then just thinking about how Heejin acted today. Even though if she knew she was wrong, she was an egoistic person who would never acknowledge her wrong from her mouth. She would still be standing as if she doesn't has even a blink of guilt in her heart.
It felt as if something was troubling her, from which only he could save her. But Namjoon cared less. He straight up went to his bedroom and laid on the bed tired. It took just a few minutes and the man was asleep.
