You were correct, the door was in fact the entrance to the grave itself.

You had to be careful keeping your weapon hidden and low-key.

You got so far now, phase 2 is complete, you're in the grave, you can't blow it now. Especially when victory is a step away.

Now, though, that the next phase is complete, you needed to move on to the 3rd phase of your very brief plan..

Kill the problem, and get what you can.

Now this part of the plan was an umbrella term for a lot of struggle that was probably incoming in the next 30 minutes. You completely forgot to make the plan a little less collective, and a teensy bit more specific.

Your plans usually consisted of you getting into a team of unsuspecting archeologists and kill them off. That was the big mess, with you not really knowing what's in the middle of 2 steps.

At least here you knew what you were doing.

Well not really, since you had absolutely no clue what was coming next.

They could die, or they could kill you. But only one of those two options actually favoured your life.

If this gang was really what people say they are, you're in big trouble if you do kill these people. They'll be hunting you for the rest of their miserable lives, trying to catch you, maybe succeeding, maybe not. At this point what mattered is that you get out of here as quick as possible.

But right now you kinda needed to worry about getting into the grave itself. With an easy push from Tommy though, you did get in.

The room looked rich even in the dark, it was stuffed with everything important this Pharaoh ever owned. Including his cats. Morbid.

The small team flooded into the large room, the lights of everyone's flashlights darting around the room in awe.

This was it. The luxurious grave of Ramses VIII. Wherever you pointed your light, golden items, statues, untouched hieroglyphics looked right back at you ominously.

You haven't seen something so amazing since the news that your father went to jail. And that was one of the biggest days in your life, quite sad.

Urns, scrolls, and even honey bottles, but what most stood out was the sheer amount of jewelry just scattered on and around the items. They looked like they've never been worn, or even if they were, they took very good care of it. The gold on the necklaces were shiny and looked brand new. It looked heavy too, who knew if they even wore it.

Egyptians believed that if they put these luxurious items into the Pharaohs graves, they can take it with them to the afterlife, and that they can use them there. Fun little theory, and who knows, maybe it was true.

They 'experimented' with the afterlife a lot. They didn't know what was after death exactly, but their idea was somewhat beautiful.

Except when they put dead cats in the graves. That is kind of unsettling.

It didn't take long for you to spot the actual grave in the room.

A rectangle, big enough for a body, obviously. Under that will be a couple layers of coffin before you actually reach the Pharaoh's body. It was truly amazing to be in such a historical place, and being the first out of hundreds of people to find this.

You felt power, excitement, but mostly the sudden rush of adrenaline.

You just found a grave that has not been for thousands of years, and no one other than these people know. You'll have to leave your name somewhere around here, if someone else finds this, they shouldn't get all the credit for it.

"This is amazing." Finally said Phil.

"I know." Will said looking around.

"It's beautiful." You said looking at a cat shaped table. It looked pure gold. Everything in here looked like pure gold. Billions of dollars are laying in this hole ready to be taken home. Ready to be sold, and exchanged into money.

When people say money doesn't buy happiness, they're wrog, it can get you so many things that'll make you happy. Like drugs. Just an example.

You walked over to the hieroglyphics and looked over them. They were mostly about Ramses himself, and how he ruled. Then it got a little unclear, and then it talked about death. Death seemed to be a very common topic in ancient Egypt.

There were a lot of cats painted on as well, you knew they loved cats, but there was an unreasonable amount of cats there. Slight detail, but pretty cool, that they put gold around the corners.

The amount of detail they put into these hieroglyphics was amazing-

Clay suddenly tapped you on the shoulder. You turned around and looked up at him, then down at your gun. "It's time." He said in a low encouraging tone.

Nick also walked over to you, standing behind you.

Clay was right. It was time to do this.

You cannot mess this up now. If you do, you're over with. Death doesn't sound too enticing at the current moment.

You took a deep breath and when all of the grouped up to a close place, not looking at you, you drew your gun. Nick pointed his too, then quickly Bill joined you too.

"Sorry guys. We going to have to take it from here." You said. Wilbur shot his head back, in sync with Phil, then the others looked at you as well.

"What?" Will asked full body turning to you now.

"I'm terribly sorry, but your journey ends here." You said.

"You want to shoot us?" Phil asked.

"Well obviously, I don't have multiple guns pointed at you for no reason. I don't like witnesses." You said getting ready to shoot.

"Before you do that," Will said. "I want to apologize."

You looked at Clay. "Apologize for what?"

"I hope you bulletproof, 'cause this will hurt." He said.

You felt a sharp pain in your neck, but oddly it wasn't a bullet... It was a sleeping dart.

"You fucking bastard-" And with that you were out.
