RING RING, I wake up startled by my alarm clock. I jump up and pick up jean shorts and a brown lettuce top, I get a baggy brown jacket and put all of it on, I grab a gold butterfly necklace and put it on. I brush my hair and teeth and pick up my backpack that's black with white hearts all over it. I put on white long socks and slip on my black converse. I just put on a little bit of mascara and chapstick and I'm done. I run downstairs, " Bye mom! " I yell as I shut the door behind me. The bus pulls up about 3 minutes later, I get on and sit down. Their is this kid I sit next to, not next to but, I'm in a sit aside from his. His names like, Jasmin? He looks like he would be a good friend, he has a cute voice, he's also hella tall. I just always was to scared to say hi or hello something like that. " We're here. " a voice said, I turn my head to see, Jasmin. " Oh, oh ok sorry. " I apologize and stand up, " Don't need to be sorry? " Jasmin says walking out the bus. " Oh ok, sorry. " I feel dumb after what I just said, I said sorry after he said no need to be sorry. I see him quietly laugh and smile. We have three classes together, first class we sit next to each other but I sit with Olivia, second class I sit behind him, I sit with Ka'myah, and sadly, third class I sit with Ariah and next to him. I walk into my first class and sit down, Olivia already there. " Hey Paisley! " Olivia greets me, " Hi! " I greet back putting my backpack on the back of my chair. " Today Mrs.Hancock is just giving us an assignment on our computers and then we can talk the rest of the class! " Olivia says excitedly, I smile big and reply with, " That's amazing! " she nods her head, I look up and see Jasmin entering the room, don't be weird, or be dumb like I was earlier. I decide to try to smile at him, I smile at him, not a big smile, a small smile. He does a small smile back and sits down. He smiled back?! I thought I would mess it up again. " Paisley! The teachers back, listen. " Olivia lightly nudges me, I nod my head and turn back to the teacher. " Welcome back everyone, already Friday? Well today we'll just have an computer assignment so lucky you, log into your computer and begin. " I get out my computer and begin, about ten minutes later I finish. I turn it in and put my computer back. I sit there bored, Olivia was still working. I took a quick glance to see if Jasmin was done as well. He was. I just continued to sit there bored until a voice spoke. " You know, we see each other a lot but never really talk, Paisley. " I turn my head again and see Jasmin, " Yeah, you're right, you know my name? " I say trying not to be awkward. Jasmin smiles and says, " Yeah I do, you raise your hand every time the teacher asks something. " I giggle quietly, " Well that means I probably won't get called on if I don't raise my hand for some reason. " " I like the necklace. " Jasmin says kind of, nervous like? But awkwardly too. " Thank you! And also I'm sorry for saying sorry earlier. " I say as my smile fades away. " It's ok, like I said, no need to be sorry at all. " he says innocently. I smile and nod my head. " You should sit by me at lunch, if you want. " Jasmin says looking back at his desk, " Of course! Sure! " I say happily I might become friends with him. He just smiles. RING RING, I jump, " Jesus it always gets me! " I say giggling while standing up and picking up my bag. " Oh I know, I see you jump every time. " Jasmin smiles big. " Well ummmmm see you at second class soon! " I say waving by as I walk out of the classroom.
Second class was boring, all we did was listen to a teacher, plus Jasmin wasn't in this class. When it was over, I was finally back with Jasmin. I sat down by Ka'myah my best friend and we talked, Jasmin entered the classroom after me again. I turn to Jasmin. " Hello again. " I say smiling. " Oh hi. " he says smiling back at me. " Since when were y'all friends? " Ka'myah interrupts. " Oh um, today? " I say not knowing if we were friends or not. " Oh, doesn't he li- " " Ka'myahhhhh? Um yeahhh, how are youuuu? " Jasmin interrupts. Ka'myah smirks and rolls her eyes. " I'm good, bet you are too? " she says still smirking. " Actually, I am. " he says trying not to laugh. " Mhmmmm. " Ka'myah reply's. " You guys are acting weird, what were you going to say Ka'myah? " " What part? "
" The first part, something like, doesn't Jasmin something. "
" Oh yeah, I forgot. Maybe I'll remember later. "
