Author's note: Keeping up with the tradition of trying to rewrite my stories in poetry format, I don't think Tanmay would like it if I didn't tell his too. So here we go. :)
Hope you enjoy it.

Dear Pat - Poem Version

Dear readers,

I could say
This is a story
Of a girl and a boy.
I could even say
That this is a tale of how they met.
Or I could say
That this is a love letter
To a city.
I could say one, two or three
And it would be the truth every single time.
You know how they say
That it takes just one thing
To set the wheels in motion?
Well, this one needed a guesthouse
To make their universes one.
She was new in the city
Enamoured by the allure of the sea.
He was a dreamer
Enamoured by stories, chai and her.
There comes a time in everyone's life
When the simple joys take over
The glimmer of a jhumka,
And the flash of a smile.
Moonlit walks
With sunshine laughter.
Little things take up a lot more pages
While the story of life plays in the background.
Through quaint little lanes,
And big, towering sealinks.
Amid stolen moments,
And big stages with audiences.
There came a quiet story
Filled with letters about everything and nothing,
About Gilmore Girls and power outages,
About heart and hope
And two cups of cutting chai.
Care to begin?

All my love,
A writer
