It was a while ago that happened. I'll say a month ago. I never saw him again and I haven't spoke to my sister. I needed a new start, I needed to leave all those memories of them and him in the past.

College.

I didn't really wanna go to college but I wanna major in literature. It's just something about books that gets to me. Romance, fiction. I love them. They help me escape from the world. The world that treats people that don't deserve half of the things that's happening to them like shit.

But my dumbass is starting school in the middle of the semester. Its not like i'm gonna be alone my childhood best friend Ikeriaa is going to be there. So i'm good.

I met Ikeriaa in middle school. She had problems at home and so did I so we instantly clicked. She started NYU already so she is ahead of me. I mean it's technically not my fault I needed to save up some money before I started.

As I packed the last little bit of clothes left I head outside to where the uber was. It was like a 15 minute drive I didn't live that far from the airport.

I'm born and raised from Miami Florida. Yes Florida. Its not that bad the weather is just the worse. And the people of course.

Putting my headphones on I start listening to Les by Childish Gambino. One of my favorite artist.

Finally boarded the plane after 2 whole hours.

We not go talk about how I almost missed it. I was hungry.

I wanted to watch a movie so I started watching Princess and the frog.Favorite movie of all time. Probably because it came out the day I was born.

I started dozing off.

I wake up to the airplane shaking and the announcers "Attention all passengers we are landing soon." I look out the window to see tall buildings everywhere. I never been out of the country or state before so this is all new to me.

The plane landed and it took 15 mins to get out of the plane. I landed at 11 am. I don't have to go to the college until tomorrow so that means I have to get a hotel.

I ended up grabbing my suit case and heading outside. Do I call an uber or do I wave to get a taxi like in the movies? Ugh i'm so confused. "You need help ma'am?" A random male voice said from behind me. "Can you see that i'm very confused." I say slapping my hand on my face. "Yes, thats not a bad thing though. A lot of people are confused when its their first time in New York." The random male said with an genuine smile. "Damn you can even notice it's my first time, since i'm new can you tell me where a good hotel at." "Right in front of you."

I turn my head to look and the building was humongous I mean huge. I gave the kind man a smile and waved. Walking to the light to walk to the other side, somebody grabbed my suit case.

Turning around it was the kind man. "I didn't get your name?" "Oh my bad its Harmonii." I say looking at the light then back at him. He noticed that the light changed too "Let me walk you to the hotel , if you don't mind." He grabs my suit case and starts walking.

I- I didn't even say anything yet. Not wanting to miss the light I ran to him. He looks down at me and gives me a smile I don't do nothing but smile back.  Yes this is creepy I don't even know him.

"So where are you from?" He asked opening the hotel door for me. What a gentlemen. The hotel name was the black suite, and inside looked just like how the name is. " We just met and you want a lot of information." I state laughing.

"My bad just tryna get to know the pretty lady."He said with a fake scoff. I look at him then back inside. "I'm from Miami, i'm telling you this because I don't think we'll ever see each other again." I say closing the door behind me. I look behind to see what his reaction was, he just smirked and walked away.

Finally, after like a whole hour trying to get a room I got one. The way up was nice I wanted to see how it looked from the top of the building so I hurried up threw my suitcase into my room and went all the way to the top of the building.

It looked so nice. All the tall big buildings. The people all walking trying to get to their designated area. The clouds moving. The sun out shining its brightest. The air moving across my skin. I loved it to the point where it had me smiling. I haven't smiled like this in a while. I just sat there and closed my eyes, loving how the air felt on my face. I sat there for a long time. Like really long. I'll say a couple of hours. I think I even felled asleep.

It started to get a little cold seeing how the day was almost over so I went back down to my room. I wanted to get a outfit out for tomorrow but I don't know what. Ill think about that after the shower.

Turning the water on I put some of the hotel soap inside, okay childish yes but I really wanna take a bubble bath. I get inside after I noticed that the water was warm. Stepping in I felt the warmness wrap around my body. Loving the feeling I got underneath it just sitting there. How would school be? Would I have a nice dorm mate and would she be clean? OMG WHAT IF SHE HAVE ROACHES.

With the towel wrapped around my body i'm trying to find an outfit for tomorrow. "Come on Harmonii, booty shorts or pants?" I say to myself with both pair in my hands putting them around my waist to see how'll they'll look.

I chose the booty shorts. I mean they're not that short. Plus I hate jeans the way they wrap around my thighs. Suffocating them I don't its a hate love kind of situation.

I chose blue ripped booty shorts with a wrapped crop top and a jeans crop jacket. It's college they wouldn't care. We grown adults. And don't think i'm going to show up there looking like a bum.

"Okay your overthinking lets just go to sleep and call it quits for today." I say to myself putting on a big shirt. His shirt. Damn it. Why do I still have this?
