-Y/N POV-

the rain plopped along the grass it starts out light and gets louder and heavier as I continue to look for something to eat.

Me and Tighnari had set up camp nearby because he was asked to stop a withering zone that posed danger because it went unchecked for a few months and continued to grow, even though he has always had me help out Collei while he was gone this time he asked me to come along with him "the distance of the travel would become pretty lonely no?" thats the one thing I could remember him saying before we left Ghandarva Ville days later...and here we are, out in the pouring rain in the middle of a tree packed forest.

I'm soaked to the core. I sigh and move to another tree, I slump my body down the tree and sit in the dry grass placed under the it "I bet Tighnari is warm and dry back at camp. ugh I wish I was back with him right now.." I stare down at the book in my hands it was a gift Tighnari had given me 'A Guide to Edible Plants - Sumeru Edition' in white block letters across the cover I decided to take it with me so I could tell what was edible and what wasn't.

I had already gathered a sizeable amount of fruit and wild plants despite Tighnari not being the biggest fan of eating plants though it was going to have to work for now, I would definitely have to make it up to him later

-30 min time skip-

My feet hit the wet grass with each step I planted to the ground The water hit my legs. I was still soaked I started getting cold so I decided I would run back to camp in the rain that somehow got worse than half an hour ago.

"Hey [Name]! Come over here!" Tighnari waved to me from under another tree

I walked over to him "You're soaked! Come on lets get you dried up" I went back into our tent to change into my [favourite comfy clothes] I heard him put the fire out as I stood inside the tent I dropped my body onto my bed not really caring about how cold I was when Tighnari walked in

"aren't you still cold?" he tilted his head to the side his ears flopped to follow his head I nodded in response "i'm too exhausted to care" I let out a breathy laugh as I shuffled my way to sit up in my bed.

"Well then...why don't I help you warm up hm? what do you think?" His lips curved up into a confident smile

his smile grew when I looked up at him my face felt warm and I knew my face was definitely red

"I..uh sure" I spoke. feeling flustered as hell

"nothing weird..I just wanted to cuddle" He sits down next to me and lays down.
his arm reach out for me like a child would, I chuckled a little before shuffling under the comfortable covers I huddled next to his body and rested my head in the crook of his neck The silence enveloped our voices it was comfortable, the sound of the rain and our unified breathing was the only noise thats filled the air

"Goodnight [Name] I love you.."

sorry if my writing is a bit scuffed its my first time writing in a while

and close to the end because I wanted him to try to fluster Y/N / Reader but because I've never really been in a relationship I kinda didn't know how to write it lol also i hope you could tell me how I did and if i could improve on anything
