Eddie popped the cap back on the marker after he spent five minutes trying to find the cap that he carelessly threw. He plopped the marker back on the small table. He walked over to a slightly larger table with many different test tubes full of many different liquids.
He inspected each tube before grabbing two tubes full of pink and blue liquids. He poured them both into a larger sample tube, watching as they mix and turn into a purplish colour. He took the tube, swirling it around a bit, watching as the new liquid started bubbling.
He smiled putting the glass down, he looked at the tank, watching small bubbles go up and down the yellowish liquid. He grabbed the tube opening a small hatch at the top of the tank. He slowly poured the purple liquid into the large tank.
Once it was completely empty he closed the hatch watching as the purple liquid faded away. He walked over to a box, opening it and pulling out a small embryo. (Yes he has gloves on and he's using tweezers, don't kill me pls!) He walked back to the tank reopening the hatch, dropping the embryo inside. He doesn't know how these experiments will turn out.
Maybe his experiments will be a girl, maybe a boy, or even nonbinary. They could have different hair. Different skin. He didn't know what species they would be mixed with. You would never know what you would end up with, Eddie hoped it wouldn't be a failure.
