Chapter 4

Nami's POV

I was getting ready for my "date" with Luffy, if I could call it that, but for now it was just something normal with a friend and nothing romantic.

I put this long yellow cute dress that Vivi bought me the other day while we were shopping. I put it on because of course I wanted to look more attractive towards Luffy, even if I personally think this won't work because he doesn't look to even notice things like that.

Yesterday, while texting each other, Luffy and I decided that after meeting at the park, we would go to the cinema and we would choose what movie we would watch when we got there. I was pretty excited and couldn't wait to meet him at the park.

I could feel my heart beat so fast, our meeting at the park was planned for in thirty minutes so I had to get ready faster. I was almost ready though, I just needed to brush my teeth, brush my hair and put perfume.

I took my tangerine perfume bottle and put it in my hair and a bit on my clothes. I've always liked the smell of tangerines..

'I Hope Luffy will like it, what if he doesn't like it? That's the only perfume I like so I would be screwed if he doesn't like it..' I thought

I jus threw that thought away and tried to stay confident and avoid bad thoughts. Luffy looks like a guy who doesn't care about a lot of things, so I don't think he wouldn't like the smell of my perfume.

While I was brushing my hair and made it into a long ponytail, Nojiko entered my room without knocking or saying anything.

"What's all that noise I've been hearing since 8 in the morning, it's been two hours!" Asked Nojiko

"I'm going somewhere with a friend, sorry Nojiko, I didn't mean to wake you up.. do you want anything?" I replied

"What the hell takes two hours to do? If you're just going somewhere, why does that take so long??" She asked

"Yes, I ate breakfast, took a bath to have smooth hair and smooth skin, put some makeup like mascara and lip gloss, a lot of stuff you know.." I said

"And you did all that just for a "friend"? I don't believe you." She said

"Yes, I'm going somewhere with a friend, you met him Friday, remember?" I said

"It all makes more sense now.. a boy.." She whispered thinking I didn't hear her

It made me blush a little bit.

"W-What was that, Nojiko?!" I said

"It's nothing, I'll let you finish to get prepared. I'm going, love you sis." Said Nojiko

"Where are you going?" I asked

"None of your business." She sticked out her tongue and left the house

'Probably going to make out with some random dude... I bet all my money on that..' I thought

I then picked my pearl bracelet that was on my nightstand and put it on my right arm.

Last thing I needed to do before going to meet Luffy was to brush my teeth, and that's what I did.

I picked my stuff and left my house to head towards the park me and Luffy were supposed to meet.

After a ten minutes walk, I finally got to the park and saw Luffy sitting on a bench playing games on his phone.

He had earphones on so I decided to prank him by behind. I walked closer to him tiptoeing and once I got to him, I violently put both my hands on his back and yelled "BOUH".
