"Journey!" A voice shouted, "What does this woman want now?" The little girl thought to herself not getting up until she heard the woman shout her name again making the little girl smack her teeth together before getting up from her bed and walking towards her bedroom door peaking her head out into the hall "Yessss!!!!" She shouted back to her mom.

She leaned up against the doorway waiting for her mother's response but she didn't get one making Journey roll her eyes hard walking out her room towards the front where her mom was probably sitting in the living room watching TV.

"Yes, momma?" She questioned as she walked into the living room stopping when she saw Ricky Bell waiting beside her mom "Ricky wants you to go with him to see Bobby perform and I told him you were on punishment but since it's Bobby's first show I'm allowing you to go only because Ricky is gonna be there with you" Her mother Jasiah wicks told her.

The younger girl sighed giving a look to Ricky who smiled happily at her mom's somewhat "compliment" journey looked back over at her mom nodding her head "Okay...hold up Ree I gotta grab my jacket" She told the boy rushing back to her room.

Jasiah looked down at Ricky "If she gets into with anybody let me know and please don't let her start fighting up there because I do not have the time for paying another momma money for their child's broken arm, Hand, or nose even they damn finger" Ricky slowly nodded his head at the woman understanding her knowing how the younger Wicks girl could get.

"Only if you tell My Mom I came over here for a little bit to listen to music and play around with Journey" The boy spoke.

Jasiah raised her brow at the dark skin boy crossing her arms "What your momma doesn't know your going?" She questioned but already knowing the answer as the boy shook his head no "She doesn't want me being around Mike 'cause that's who I told her I was gonna go with but you know how my mom is" He told her.

Jasiah chuckled walking over to the couch sitting down "Yeah I know how she is and I don't know why she doesn't like Mike he's a sweet boy" Ricky nodded agreeing "Okay I'm ready" Journey spoke zipping up her jacket "Remember be safe don't talk to strangers and Journey don-" Her mom was saying but she cut her off.

"Don't fight I know I know I heard you I mean you say that all the time" Journey said to her as she tied up her shoes "And yet for some reason even when I do say that all the time you do the opposite" Ricky laughed at what her mom said knowing it was true but quickly shut up when he saw the look Journey gave him.

"Okay, Mom I promise you this time I will try not getting into a fight," The younger girl said to the older woman who made a mhm sound but Journey ignored it kissing her mother on the cheek and rushing Ricky out the house closing the door shut behind them.

Ricky burst out laughing as they both walked onto the sidewalk "Hahaha I told you your mom was gonna say yes to me I mean come on I'm her favorite I think we both know this at this point" Journey just rolled her eyes at the boy hitting him upside his head making him welp rubbing the spot she slapped.

The wicks girl started laughing "You sound like a little girl" she picked at him laughing even harder as they both walked to the basketball court to get Mike "No I don't so shut up" he said starting to get irritated with the girl who just laughed even more.

"Yes you do haha it's okay I support you" she joked which the boy just rolled his eyes not caring as they stopped at the fence watching as Mike played with some other boys.
