Reminiscing our story,

The story that remains untold.

We could have made it to glory,

Our story in my mind unfolds.

My mind doesn't let you go,

It still holds on to you,

You left, it was a massive blow,

The wounds with words I sew.

I gave you everything,

All I wanted to do was make you stay.

But they say "it ain't over till the fat lady sings",

She has sung and now you're away.

Why did you have to go?

You could have stayed with me!

Why did you have to go?

I ask myself as I fall down on my knees.

You cross my mind everyday,

I don't cross yours,

Your departure made my life grey,

I am demolished as I lay on the floor.

Those hand in hand walks on the beach,

Those letters, those kisses and those hugs that we shared,

You're now far away out of my reach,

As you left, into the darkness I stared.

You were meant to be mine,

I was meant to be yours,

I find you in every light's shine,

As darkness shuts the doors.

Those thirty six dollars you handed me,

They're the last thing with your essence.

Those thirty six dollars you handed me,

Holding it and reminiscing you, it makes no sense.
