Aria's POV:

I felt so dirty

I couldn't believe yesterday's events were real as I woke up hurting from down there

I bled again

I feel really bad for Grey

He didn't have to be there for me but he was every hour since it happened

I was only in a bra and a boxer as I was laying on his chest but I figured I'd made him uncomfortable

But when I tried to get off him he pulled me back down and prisonned me with his strong arms

"stop moving" he groaned in his morning voice

He rested his arms on my back as I traced patterns on his chest

We haven't properly adressed the situation

And I don't think he wants to hurt me even more so he doesn't want to bring it up

Just this sentence woke him up as he looked at me with sadness in his eyes

"I'm sorry for forcing you to take care of me, really, you didn't have to be there for me at all because we weren't really on the greatest terms and it's not your responsability to save me everytime I fuck up"

You're my wife, you're my responsability whether you like it or not, and I know we had a little argument about the news that went on everywhere but Valentina is simply nothing to me, she just doesn't understand boundaries and probably tipped off papparazis to make us be seen together but there's never gonna be anything between us because I'm not interested in her"

I think he caught my overthinking as he started stroking my back under the duvet and that was my cue to go back to sleep

My poor girl

I felt my heart ache as I looked back at her sleeping figure

I wasn't going to work today

But I ordered every man and every unit to look everywhere and find the guy who dared put a hand on my wife

He's going to pay with his life

I placed all my attention on her as I heard her whimpering in her sleep

Was she hurt?

Should I wake her up?

She barely slept tonight and I'd feel horrible for waking her up now

I rubbed her back soothingly as she shuffled a bit and then opened her eyes slowly

she looked at me surprised

"you're..still here?"

"yeah I figured I'd take a day off to stay with you, see if you needed anything, of course, only if you're comfortable with it"
