The rest of the day went by quickly, the canvas still stood blank in his room. Rain droplets fall out of the atmosphere. He was struggling to sleep, unsurprising enough, he can't. He was exhausted all day but couldn't even shut his eyes for less than a minute. This was going to most definitely screw up his sleeping schedule if it isn't already.

Tapping was heard on his window, knocking. He attempted to ignore it and pretend that he was asleep. The knocking continues, light thumping turns to hard bangs, there was no doubt he was frightened. He closed his eyes tightly, praying it would end, soon enough it stopped. He's still not convinced it went away, he stayed in his current position for almost an hour.

'I'm safe' That was the phrase he said to himself repeatedly, eventually, he felt himself calm, still closing his eyes in the process. He slept well that night. For once he was getting nice sleep even if it last only 2 hours. Or did he?

----

Will groaned, he was going to rise but halted as he felt two pairs of arms around his waist. What the-? His eyes widen, a familiar red sweater... He quickly sat up to see Miles sleeping peacefully. The curly-haired boy noticed the lack of warmth that was pressed against him, he woke up to Will staring down at him, intensely.

"What are you doing here!?" Will whispered, angrily more alarmed, you would say if you heard him. Miles got up, who seems to be puzzled by the bot's reaction, "What am I doing here? You practically begged me to stay after I heard you calling my name last night" Woah, what? What is he talking about? He never called for anyone and Miles? This guy was lying. He's positive, was he?

Will attempted to argue, "I never did? What do you mean?" Miles' face switched from a confused to an angered one, he scoffed, "You were lucky that I even heard you" With that, he turned to Will and pulled him into a fierce kiss.

(What am I fucking writing!? ;-;)

----

Will woke up with cold sweat running down his face, he gasps for air. Just then Miles ran into the room, "Are you okay? I heard you yell my name" To Will's surprise, the boy's tone seemed to be genuine. He looked through his window, it appears to still be at least 2-3 am.

Miles' fingers clung onto Will's (shoulder which would most likely leave wrinkles on his shirt), with a worried expression plastered on his face, "I.." Was the only thing Will could say before stopping himself, he couldn't believe himself for dreaming something like that, he felt disgusted, it felt so real like he was in a lucid dream but it was not a dream, it was a nightmare

"Answer me." Miles demanded, his tone strong which causes Will to snap out of his thoughts, he looks so serious and intimidating that it almost frightened Will, "I'm fine" Miles soon loosens his grip on his shoulder but still sets his hand on it, "Nightmare?" Will nodded, although, he didn't understand, how the other boy knew. Who was he kidding? It was obvious he had a nightmare, it was foolish of him to question.

"Don't worry," Miles reassured, "No one's going to do that to you" With that, he gave the brown-haired boy a comforting hug that almost put him to sleep but realized what he just said, did he read his mind? Did he know? Negative thoughts filled the boy's head, Miles abruptly pulls away as he felt the other stiffen, he furrowed his brows, "Do you want me to leave?" He asks, it was clear he was worried for him.

Will had mixed feelings about his concern. He did want Miles to flee his room and not come back, on the other hand, he didn't want him to go since he was scared. That's right, Will was a wimp, he isn't as courageous as he perceives himself to be. He thinks for a second. Eventually deciding he does want him to stay. He doesn't know why, but the creepy and comforting vibes he radiates feels pleasant in some sort of way. Maybe that's just him.

His gaze returns to Miles who was still waiting for him. His reply to be exact. He quickly shook his head, not giving a response verbally so he would not be seen as desperate. He wouldn't want that. He wouldn't want to embarrass himself.

He lays back down on the mattress, Miles following his actions.

I should have said no, he complains in his mind as he covers himself inside the blanket. This was more awkward than he intended. Miles must have noticed he was feeling anxious. He stood up, "If you're uncomfortable just say that. If you said you wanted me to leave, I would." That's the thing. He didn't wish for Miles to leave. That may sound odd even for him but it's true. He means it when he says that. He always gets a weird sensation when he's around him. It's so strange.

Just as Miles was going to leave, Will reacted, "NO." He accidentally shouted, covering his mouth in complete embarrassment, "I- I mean, no. I don't want you to go" He fumbles with his words but he managed to let out that paragraph like Jane when she speaks. Fine.

"And why is that?" Miles asks, with a teasing grin as he retreats to Will's bed before sitting beside him, he thinks for a second, determining if he should tell him or not. Miles might think he's crazy and delusional. He just met the guy and yet, here he is, babbling about the knocking and how he was so afraid. Everything. Leaving out his dream, to save himself from extra humiliation. But as he anticipated, Miles had to ask about it, "What about your nightmare?" He wasn't going to say the truth, he wouldn't but he's got to think of an excuse. He can't say anything about the upside-down shit that has been going on but what else should he say.

Then he thought of a better way of replying. Avoid it. That's what his mother would always say when he's uncomfortable with doing things or when he's asked questions he doesn't want to answer. So he did. He ignored it as he continues to ramble with different topics besides that concern.

Eventually, the two boys slept in peace. Will didn't feel awkward after pouring his thoughts out to the boy next to him. This was the best moment to rest right now. Before he could fully sleep, Miles unknowingly wraps his arm around Will's abdomen. He was attempting so hard to dismiss the fact a hand was positioned there. Unfortunately, Will couldn't and got out of his bed with no sleep.

Another restless night was not different for Will but he hoped he could have finally slept well.
