Guy in black rushes into the elevator. Melissa tries to put her hands up and down herself as a call comes through on her cellphone. The guy chokes her real hard after backhanding her then knees her in the stomach multiple times then throws her to the ground and kicks her in the stomach again. Guy, "Tell Joseph to bring me my money, my weapons and my diamonds." Melissa passed out in a pool of blood.

Melissa wakes up with a bloody lip with blurry vision as cops and security clears the scene, she see yellow tape and men in blue.
Joe, "Let me through. That's my wife!"
Officer, "Sir, we will. But you have to calm down."
Joe breaks through and ran into the elevator picking Melissa up.
ER workers come with a bed to wheel Melissa into the room.
Two hours later...
Nurse, "We're doing everything everything him. His heartbeat is faint."
Melissa, "Please do everything for him."
Nurse, "He's trying to fight."
Melissa sees Joe and turn tlhe other way. She hits her buzzer for security to come.
Joe, "What are you doing?"
Melissa, "I don't want you in here. It's all your fault. I told you to stop. And you refused and now I'm here. My baby is barely breathing."
Security, "Sir you have to go or be arrested."
Melissa, "As long as I'm here don't let him in. He is not my husband."
Melissa stayed in the hospital for two weeks with everything touch and go for her baby boy. Melissa cried almost everyday afraid for her baby and felt helpless as his mother. Day ten things started to get better for the baby boy.
Nurse, "He's still fighting. His vitals are getting stronger." Day 14 it was Nov 25th, Melissa was released from the hospital. Thanksgiving was in 3 days and all Melissa could think about was giving her children a great holiday. Melissa signs out the hospital and Yasmine and Sione takes her home. They return with Peyton, Simee and Riley.
Simee, "Mom! Are you okay? Someone said something about someone doing something. Just let me know who it is so we can ride out on dem bitches!"
Melissa, "Language."
Simee, "Sorry. You look like you're in so much pain."
Melissa, "I had to get stitches and got some cyst removed."
Simee hesitates, "How's the baby?"
Melissa, "He's surviving."
Simee gets down to Melissa's stomach, "You have to make it little buddy. Dad is looking forward to meeting you so much. And he loves you and he'll never forgive himself if you don't make it."
Melissa, "Simee, what did Joe tell you?"
Simee, "He just expressed that he was sorry and it was all his fault because he shouldn't had said what he said to make you wanna leave him and he should have been there."
Melissa, "Lets make Thanksgiving plans and we'll head to the store tomorrow."

Melissa heads to Target to meet Joe the next day because he wanted to join them in holiday shopping.
Joe, "Babies are distracted. Lets talk."
Melissa, "No. I'm trying to be stress free."
Joe, "So I'm a stress?"
Melissa, "Yeah."
Joe, "That's cool."
Melissa, "Look, I don't want to hurt your feelings or make you feel bad in any kind of way. And this isnt about trading insults to see who got the best comebacks. I just don't want to talk about it. I wanna give myself and you time. Joe, we just need time apart. You want to be the husband, the Mob Boss, father, homebody and wrecking crew but you can't do all that at one time Joe, you just can't."
Joe, "I love you. What else do you want me to say? I need you back home."
Melissa, "I hear you and love just isn't enough. And I don't need you to need me home. I need you to want me home. Needing someone is a use. But wanting someone says that you desire them."
Joe, "I'm learning."
Melissa, "Its just like being in high school. You don't get to diploma when you get in the ninth grade because you're not ready for college or go into the next phase in life. You get it when you graduate twelveth and it takes time to develop and be ready for the next phase. And I get it now. Do all what you have to do."
Joe, "When you put it like that, I understand but I don't like it. So here are some rules, no dating or sleeping with anybody."
Melissa, "We're not doing this. I'm grown and I'm not sleeping with anyone, not even you. No lay is worth my child. Doctor said slim to no sexual activity."
Joe lets out a small growl not liking those doctor's orders, "What about the holidays?"
Melissa, "The same as a few weeks ago. Thanksgiving Grandmas. Christmas, your house. And New Year's we'll be in our homes, separate."
