Desmond's Prov.

My whole world is white. Nothing is there. I start running but it's no use, there is no end. I'm in the Animus. I've done this a least a thousand times but I will never get use to it. Your alone nothing is around and no one is there for you. Then a flash of light brings me in to a whole new world.  I blink a few times, trying to regain focus, and look at the scene in front of me. I'm in the woods and by the looks of it, it is summer. I start to walk around, wondering why the Animus sent me here of all places. I listen trying to figure out if am anywhere near a town but all I hear is the wind and birds. Peaceful I think.  Closing my eyes and standing there just enjoying the quiet sounds. Its been a long time sense I've had a moment of peace. That's when I feel it. Eyes. Watching me. I snap my eyes open and look around only seeing trees. Then I look up. That's when I see it. A person high up in the trees looking down at me. They had their head tilted slightly to the side as if they were  analyzing me. Then they jump. I gasp thinking they are going to hurt themselves but quickly dismiss this as they land on the balls of their feet. Impressive, I think. The person, a women by the way their body is shaped, is wearing black leather pants, a black cloak, black high knee combat boots, and a black shrouded cowl. All that was showing was her eyes. The eyes were a green almost teal color with a cat like look to them. In all she screamed dangerous and if I was anyone else I would have shrunk back in fear. But these were the kind of people I deal with everyday. I was one of these people.

"Who are you and what are you doing in my woods?" the woman asks in a calm but dangerous voice.

"I'm here looking for a woman. She goes by the name of Storm. Do you know were I could find her?" I ask in a polite manner, trying not to upset the woman anymore than she is. Something seems to flash in his eyes and then quickly disappears before I have time to figure out what it is

"No, I have not. Why would you look in the middle of the wood for a woman? Now I suggest you get off my land before we have a problem."

"I meant no trouble I am very sorry for going on your land. If you could point me in the direction of the nearest town I will be on my way," I say politely but on the inside I am slightly annoyed by the harshness of this woman, and I thought New York was bad. She stands there once again tilting her head and narrowing her eyes as if she is trying to see deep in to my soul.

"I will take you," she says hesitantly narrowing her eyes even more as if I am the one who suggested it.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I have some business there anyway. Come let's go."

"If you say so," I say uncertainly not want this woman to snap at me. As we walk I notice that I am taking help from a total stranger. I don't even know her name and for all I know she could be leading me to trouble.

"What is your name?" She asks looking at me from the corner of her eye as she continues to lead us throw the woods.

"Desmond," I say and watch as she halts in her step and turns to look at me.

"What did you just say?" She asks looking at me with slightly widened eyes before they go back to their usual emotionless state.

"I said my name was Desmond. Why? Is there something wrong?" I ask wondering why my name made this woman so surprised. She looks at me as if she is making a decision. Then she goes back to expressionless.

"No, it is nothing but I think you should continue on your own from here."

"Why? What is it?" I ask wondering what is with the sudden mood change.

"Nothing. Nothing now go if you keep going straight you will come upon a road go right and you should hit a town." I shake my head and take a step closer to her. This movement makes her eyes narrow and she starts to glare at me.

"Tell me why you have changed your mind and then I will go." I say with a final voice but this seems to raise the beast as she full on glares at me and I see the challenge in her eyes.

"I will not be told what  to do by you. Let alone someone who is trespassing on my land. Leave now or there will be conciseness," she says in a dark voice.

"All you have to do is tell me why," I say not backing down. This woman was very interesting. The way  she only shows her eyes and how she has the ability to be able to seem almost emotionless is a mystery.

"And all you have to do is mind your business. Now go before I make you," She says and I can see the promise in her eyes showing me that she is not someone to be messed with. Not to mention I am wasting my time talking to this woman when I should be going out trying to find Storm.

"You are very right. You have been very kind to me and I thank you for that," I say darkly not wanting to back down but knowing I can't be wasting anymore time.

"You're welcome. Goodbye now," She says before jogging away and disappearing into the shadows. Maybe that's why she wore black. To disappear I think as I start to walk in the way she pointed. It's not long before I come across a road and as I walk the way she instructed I couldn't help but wonder how that woman disappeared so quickly.
