Chapter 11: recruitment

 AN: sorry for the wait. Just a lot of crazy things going on. Job and college starting soon , but you don't care about my life so let's get into the story.

a few knights were discussing how the god Loki and his apostles called The Avengers of the seven lights faith we're going to run the city of Dormundt. They were discussing about their entire Legion of knights we're going to be incorporated into the seven lights Faith Army and they will get better pay than what they would have gotten in the Empire. The captain of the Knights who was a wolf Byuma with an eye patch just walked out.

Now at a Tavern

The captain of knights at alone thinking about what transpired. As he sat alone in his thoughts baby footsteps could be heard walking towards his table. When he turned around he sees one of the Apostles of the god Loki. Steve Rogers. "May I join you ? " Steve asked. " you're one of those apostles of Loki." Said the captain. " you would be the silver Knight, Zest Do Bernard. I am sorry I have yet to introduce myself. my name is Steve Rogers. But please call me Steve." The two shook hands and sat down at the table." You got my name rightbut only Imperial Knights get the do in their name and that doesn't fit me anymore. " said the captain of the knights now known as Zest.

" alright, Bernard" said Steve. " so what brings you to this tavern, you come for a drink?" Asked Zest. " well looking for you as a matter of fact. Your soldiers trust you a lot. From what I was able to gather you're reliable man capable of making calm judgments even in stressful situations. " said Steve. " I am honored by your praise, but what do you want from me? "Asked Zest. " I'd like you to join our Knights as their leader." Explained Steve. " I am extremely humbled that you come to me but I'm afraid to tell you that I've chosen to retire. "

"why is that ? " Asked Steve. " because of you. The frayaguard Empire will get word of what you're doing and they won't be happy they will send soldiers here and this place will become a warzone. If I can't protect the people then there's no point in being a knight. Plus I have some business to take care of. So that's why I'm quitting. Choosing your own job is part of this democracy thing you're preaching, right? Forget about me.I am sorry but I can't help you." Zest said as he was walking out the door.

at the hotel they were staying in.

Steve walked in and Tony was sitting right next to the fireplace " so how did it go? " asked Tony. " he was just like house fellow soldiers talk about him. But he decided to retire." Said Steve. " that's a pity. We could use a guy like that. So what happens now? you going to put on the old Stars and Stripes?" Asked the billionaire. " no I'm going to talk to him tomorrow."

the next day at a house a little bit away from the city.

Zest was chopping firewood while also enjoying the peace and quiet wearing casual clothing. He stops when he sees Steve right there. " you came all the way here. So what do you need? " Zest asked. " I wanted to further elaborate on our discussion yesterday. "Said Steve. " I already told you didn't I? I'm done being a knight." The ex knight said. Steve looked at him before saying " you care about the well-being of the civilians. Ever since we had that discussion, I believe that we need a man like you." Zest looks At him with the proud smile before releasing a bit of a sigh. " listen Mister Rogers. I.."

"Papa!" He was interrupted and a small girl that very closely resembled him ran up to him. "Airi?" Zest asks. " what's wrong? I thought you were going to play." said Zest. She the den replied with " but I missed you so I came back." "Is that so? Well I missed you too Airi." He says he hugs and picks up his daughter. Steve couldn't help but smile at the wholesome scene that was unfolding before his very eyes.
