"Okay." The doctor said. "There's nothing more we can do for her, I'm really sorry..." The doctor continued. My parents were crying so hard, Jackson was no where to be found. What was going on?!?!
"You won't have to much longer with her, you might want to say goodbye." The doctor hesitated.
"GOODBYE?!?" I woke up screaming. I looked around the room. It was just a dream! I was so relieved. Then I released I was panting and sweating. Man, that was a terrible dream!
"Oh your awake! Good! We can start chemo down." The doctor said walking in.
"So it is curable? Why type do I have..? No one ever told me." I asked politely.
"We can always try!" She smiled, then continued "You have ovarian cancer."
"....is that in my ovaries? Wait does that mean I won't be able to have kids?!" I scrambled to say through my fear.
"Yes it is and that's a possibility, but we are going to take about 100 dozen eggs out so if it does kill them we can put these in. This way you will be able to have kids." The doctor answered.
"Oh okay." I said still worried.
"Okay, I'm going to inject this tube into your wrist. It will pump the chemo into your blood to do its work. You'll just have to stay here for now, okay? Is there anything I can get you?" She asked.
"Um no thanks. But do you know where my parents are?" I asked.
"There outside, would you like me to bring them in?" She said.
"Yes please." I replied. She smiled then walked out as my family walked in. My siblings gave me hugs. My parents each kissed me on the forehead.
"Where have you guys been?" I asked.
"Well it's been pretty busy you know. The kids have school and we have work." My mom said.
"That's more important than being here with me?" I asked.
"Of course not, hunny we just needed a little more time to process this. This is very hard. We contacted the family and there going to be coming up soon." My father replied.
"Hard? Trust me I know! Dad I don't know if I'm really up to being crowded in here with everyone. Can't we wait a bit?" I tried to say calmly.
"But...we don't know..." My mom started to say. But my dad cut her off.
"Yes, how about we see how your doing in 2 weeks then talk about having the rest of the family over?"
"That sounds great, thanks." I smiled.
"How are you Georgy?" My 8 year old brother, Liam, asked.
"I'm doing good, but better now that your here." I winked. He giggled. My whole family had one big conversation for about an hour and a half, which was really nice, until the doctor came back in and turned the chemo off for the night.
"We're going to start by doing it for only a couple hours then see your progression and see how long we'll do it for." She said then walked out.
"Hey, have you guys seen or talked to Jackson lately? He hasn't contacted me in almost a week and a half or answered my calls." I asked everyone.
"I've seen him around school with his baseball friends and there's been some big parties going on....but I doubt he went to any of them or anything. He was probably you know studying or something. Probably worrying about you or writing love letters to you, something like that!" Michael rambled on.
"Oh. Yeah, no biggie. Probably just school work. I think I'm going to try to go to sleep now. Tomorrows my first day back to school right?" I said.
