A/N: I know... I don't normally put in one of these because I am just some boring gothball. But I put in a song that I feel compliments the story. Yes, I know it is Angel Beats, deal with it.

I was as Flame Brain would put it... all fired up! Nobody would stand in the way of my Shrimp! Yep! That's right, MY SHRIMP! I had decided this a whole 3 seconds ago when she and I talked, that she belonged with me.

Racing was in my veins, the roar of my engine was calling out to me. This was where it all began.
Let's do this!

The group of onlookers gathered to each side, the Shrimp right at the front.

I saw Bunny Girl trying to ram a scrunched up... Banner? Levy opened it up, read it, blushed, ranted a bit and meekly held up a banner. What did it say?

Go... Go... Go Ga? 'GO GAJEEL?' I had to look twice to be sure. Her face was like a tomato, a ripe red shade and she didn't dare look in my direction. I was pumped out of my mind, it was like all my nerves had disappeared, I was invincible. Add a pair of tyres and a body shell and you'd have one deadly combo... Oh yeah! I already had.

Mira was stood in the middle of the runway, a smile on her face. The albino shouted something and the whole mass of people hushed.

"DRIVERS! ARE YOU READY?" She shouted, a few cheers and whoops.

"Nope but I will win it for Shrimp!" I growled under my breath. I gave a slight look to either side of me. I was the car in the middle and the two goons were on each side.

Jet who was in some failed attempt of a paint job smirked in a menacing manner, Droy on the other hand was busy finishing a hotdog in his bulky car.

Droy, I can beat! Jet, on the other hand, could be a problem as he is known for his speed. Shit!

My hand was clinging to the steering wheel and my black boots were pressed to the pedals, I had one foot pressed against the acceleration as the other was pressed firmly on the brake.

"Ready! Set! Go!" Mira's arms dropped to her side and the crowd began chanting and screaming.

I took my foot off the break as the tyres screeched. My eyes grew wide, goosebumps appeared on my flesh and I began making those robotic movements every time I shifted gears. It was like second nature to me, shifting, braking and steering. My reflexes had improved immensely and my confidence has been boosted thanks to Fairy Tail.

The course was easy, a GPS wasn't needed. It was a simple lap around the airfield; down the main runway, behind a series of empty hangars, through a small hole in the fence, around the main building, back in through the main entrance and back down half of the runway. I knew this and yet every part of me was struck with the fear of running over another person. I may have been part of a dark racing crew at one point but my current crew taught me the meaning of family and respect.

Down the runway!

I hadn't got off to the best start, Jet was ahead of me with Droy in my rearview mirror.
