Selah Carson was a social person who enjoyed dancing and intended to make it a career one day. That is, until she sustained a dance injury to her left foot and was told she would have to wear a cast for the whole first semester and half of the second semester and walk with crutches, which crushed her heart and made her feel as if she had lost her chances of ever doing anything.
She didn't care about the musical because she was still irritated about being unable to dance. She had no intention of participating in the musical's production, or so she thought.
