Hailey gets up excited. She jumps out of bed and picks out her clothes, even though it doesn't really matter because she'll have to wear a coat over it. A smile can't leave her face.
She goes to the bathroom and does her hair and makeup. And goes to the coffee house to see her dearest friend.
"Aaahgr I'm so excited!" She says to herself. For some reason Hailey feels nervous, she's known this guy for years so, what's changed? I mean he's grown a little and his voice is deeper, and when he hugged her she could feel that he'd gotten stronger...
She used to have a crush on him when she was younger but she oppressed her feelings and was fine just being friends with him.
She gets in the coffee house and she sees a very jumpy sarcastic man immediately turn his head to the door and smile. Chandler runs up to her.
"Hi!" he says anxiously
"Hi" she responds smiling. They both hug and take a second to analyze each other's faces.
"You look different" Hailey says
"Good different or.." he asks jokingly
"Good, Good different"
"Well you look good different too." They both smile
"Come on sit down" he gestures to the empty couch. She sits and he sits next to her. They are both turned towards each other
"Where are the others?" She asks
"They'll be here soon" he answers " So how have you been? Fill me in on everything!" He jumps a bit with excitement
"Ok, well after you left I started studying film like I've always wanted and I moved here, 'cause you know, the big city!"
"Have you gotten a job here?"
"No, not yet. What about you? What do you do?" she asks curious
"I work in statistical analysis and data reconfiguration."
"And people say you're not a fun guy" she says jokingly and punches his arm
"Yeah, I know..." Chandler looks down
"Hey, I noticed you stopped smoking" they both smile "I'm proud of you"
"Thanks, you helped me a lot"
"You helped me too. I'm really glad you're not smoking anymore because I've never liked smokers" Chandler makes a fake insulted face and she laughs " It's true, they smell really bad and all the smoker boyfriends I had didn't last a week, at the end of the day I felt like I had smoked too"
"Well, if I ever smoke again I'll be sure to keep my mouth away from you" Chandler says
"That'll be hard because you love me so much, Muriel" she kisses his cheek and he laughs
"Hey stop calling me that, it's embarrassing" he says
"Or what, Muriel?" she smiles daring him
"Oh you'll regret that" he says with a serious face. That sends chills down Hailey's spine, but she's not sure why.
Chandler jumps next to her and starts tickling her.
"Take it back" he says
"Never!" She says between laughs. He continues tickling her and by this point she starts laughing louder and a few people start looking at them. " Okay, Okay I take it back" he lets her go
