Soft footsteps race across the bedroom floor. Y/N was startled by it at first but soon realized it was their pet who wanted to show them p/n's late-night zoomies.This didn't go on for long. In under 30 minutes, p/n curled up under y/n's chin.
Y/n wasn't very spiritual, but they've heard of spiritual people swearing on something called shifting, where you bring your conscience into a different reality. So y/n got comfortable and started counting. The most clearly remembered one was the raven method. They've read up on it a bit earlier and decided there's no harm in trying it out.
It was excruciatingly slow; after what felt like hours, y/n only finished counting to 80. their eyes began to feel very heavy. Their body felt like lead pumped with helium. They could feel themselves slipping into their dream.
