Wolves of War - Nick Sorrentino

1x05- Bitten

James:

We were all still reeling as Elena was sitting with us in the basement playing with the ring that once belonged to Pete. We were looking through the scrapbook of this sick offender before Jeremy told us that Daniel Santos was willing to give information in exchange for being reinstated.

Nick and Clay both looked at him like he was insane before Nick said "wait a minute the guy that is known more for his lies than his ability to tell the truth?"

Jeremy nodded "I know that he can't be trusted but we need the information." We all nodded except Elena who got up and walked out leaving Clay calling out for her. I headed to my room which happened to be right next to Nick's before remembering the past.

I woke up the next morning to the sound of Clay and Jeremy talking to the police. I walked downstairs and noticed that Nick was just putting his shirt on but I saw his abs which definitely made me drool more than once. He saw me and winked making me happy that we were slowly but surely getting back to the point of being constantly flirty with each other. Now all I can hope for is that we eventually get our relationship back and we become the flirty, touchy couple that we used to be.

Jeremy and Clay walked in just as I sat down next to Nick "I'm sure you all heard that we will be helping with the search."

We all nodded as Elena said "this is Marsten's doing I know it. He must've heard Braxton running his mouth off in town, nabbed him, and then dumped his truck.

Nick nodded "and then hung it on us."

Elena shook her head "not us. On Clay"

Clay nodded "there's a very real possibility that Braxton's body is out there. Mutts wouldn't leave him alive to tell the truth."

Jeremy nodded turning to Clay "which is why we are allowing the police onto our property, and which is why we will help them look. If Braxton is here, this is the best chance for us to mitigate the situation when the body is found."

Nick shrugged "so why not stall them? Let me rip out there and see what's what."

Clay shook his head "not with deputy dipshit keeping watch brother." Making me and Elena snort at Clay's words.

Jeremy shook his head "the police are going to get a search warrant for this house. And the last thing we need is anybody poking around in here. So we will help them."

We all stood outside together waiting for the people who wanted to search and from the first people that arrived I already knew that this was going to be an extremely hostile environment. We watched as Jeremy and Clay went inside to handle family business while the rest of us stayed outside it sort of reminded me of years ago.

Me and Nick headed off with Elena and Braxton's friends and I could already tell that we were a combustible bunch. Elena answered the phone to Philip and his sister bombarding her about Becky's wedding as I walked with Nick. I heard Philip tell Elena that he loved her to which Nick spoke after she hung up "I heard a man tell you that he loved you. Did you tell Clay?" Elena shook her head to which Nick responded "Elena, I love you but you hurt Clay because you're still pretending to be someone you're not and someday that's going to come back and bite you." I sighed knowing that Nick was right but also remembering stuff.

Four Years Ago:

Nick and I had been dating for a while and I was currently in Nick's room in Stonehaven where as soon as I had walked in Nick had thrown me against the wall kissing me hard considering the fact that neither of us liked to be gentle and we didn't have to be.

I grabbed onto Nick's neck and wrapped my legs around his waist as he carried me to his bed. Nick threw me down on the bed and smirked before started attacking my neck hard biting up and down before licking my entire neck to soothe the bites.

Later as we were lying with each other covered in sweat and panting Nick turned to me and looked me in the eyes "I love you James."

I gasped stunned trying to process the fact that he had actually said those words that no one but my sister says to me. I looked him in the eyes before kissing him hard and pulling back "I love you too Nick." He smiled before our lips locked again and we headed for another round of lovemaking.

Elena suddenly stopped before telling us that Braxton's body was indeed up ahead and that if we didn't throw this search off the rails then we were all done for. Elena suddenly went down pretending to have hurt her ankle before telling Nick and I to pick a fight. Nick picked a fight and Braxton's friend went after him so I jumped in to protect Nick while Elena headed to move the body. To be honest this reminded me of my first day back at Stonehaven after spending time in Toronto.

Four Years Ago:

Nick and I walked into Stonehaven hand in hand to see one Clay Danvers. Nick had told me more about him, the guy that was supposedly his adoptive brother but more annoying than anything and extremely hot-headed. Clay looked at our hands before saying "well brother you found someone to put up with your ass."

Nick sighed "funny, I was about to say the same for you. But oh wait you haven't." Clay lunged at Nick making Nick push me out of the way and I fell to the grass. I stood back up to see Clay on top of Nick before I attacked Clay pulling him off of Nick.

Nick and I stood together before looking at each other and taking Clay 2 on 1 to which we won before Jeremy came in and broke it up. Later as Nick and I were in his room and he was washing the blood off of his body he looked at me "thanks for jumping in for me."

I nodded kissing him before putting one hand on the back of his head and looking him in the eyes "I will always defend you and jump in to protect you." Nick just shook his head before grabbing my hand and pulling me closer locking our lips together.

We had all made it back to the pack house minus Elena as she was moving the body just in time for Daniel Santos to show up. I stood with Nick and Clay as Santos and Jeremy talked in the great room and I had the feeling that we had just let the devil into our home. Santos wanted to make a deal that Jeremy couldn't agree to yet so Nick escorted him out. Later that night, Elena announced that she was leaving to us which made Nick not look at me.

I sighed and looked at Elena "look Elena, you can leave if you want but this is part of who I am. I left before and it was the worst decision that I have ever made so I'll be staying." I saw Elena look at me stunned while Clay smiled and Nick who whipped his head to me so fast I thought he had gotten whiplash was also looking at me floored before he smiled himself making me smile as well knowing that this was a big worry for him and a big obstacle to getting our relationship back; that if Elena were to leave then so would I. And I had just proved or started to prove that I wasn't going to do that.
