That night

The cookies were all getting ready for bed while pancake and custard were having a "sleepover" so they could discuss the plan
Custard:so what we need to do is wait till midnight and sneak out through the windows using the vines, then we carefully sneak into the forest, find mushroom cookie defeat him you fly us straight back home collecting some cotton candy clouds to prove it , and I bring a mushroom to prove our work in the fight and my leadership and boom we prove everyone wrong!
Pancake:yay! I see no flaw in this plan
Custard:but, there is one challenge ahead
Pancake:what
Custard:we have 2 hours till midnight and we have to try not. To fall asleep
Pancake:that will be a challenge
*knock-knock*
Custard+pancake:AH!
Ginger:custard you should probably go to bed, and I just wanted you to know I didn't mean to hurt or scare you back there I was just coauthor in the moment
A few minutes after ginger left custard layed down as pancake started joking with him in a attempt to cheer him up
After a few minutes of that they decide to play a game of charades first custard was a bunny and pancake was a dog, next he was a lynx and pancake was a jelly and so on they started laughing and then saw the time
Custard:it's 10 minutes per midnight we're wasting time
The duo climb down and start running towards the forest not noticing knight cookie right behind them
~a few minutes later~
Custard:alright now to find mushroo-
Knight:what are you two doing!?
Custard+pancake:AH!!!!!
Knight shushes them
Knight:we don't want to attract attention
Custard:how did you know?
Knight:I may or may not have been doing a midnight castle gaurd check
Pancake:you wake up at midnight to check the castle and then again at 7:00 to also check the castle?? And then again at 9:00??? Why so many castle checks?
Knight:THE PRINCESS IS TOO BUEATIFUL TO BE HU- *ahem* I mean the princess is too royal, she could never be too safe...
Pancake and custard look at eachother

Knight:beside the point, what are you two doing here?
Custard:we're gonna fight mushroom cookie!
