Can You Heal My Broken Heart?

*Vegas POV*

“There.” I said after about an hour of driving making Pete pull over at the park next to the school.

“I’ll go get him.” Pete said, putting the car in park before I stopped him, making him look at me.

“He won’t trust you. You’re the head guard of the Main Family, if he sees you he’ll think you're going to kill him.” I said, making Pete sit back down. “I’ll get him,'' I said, making him panic.

“You’re injured.” He said panicked.

“It’s fine. This isn’t the first time this has happened.” I said, making him look at me sadly.

“Vegas.” He whispered but I stopped him.

“I’ll be right back.” I said, making him sigh sadly before I opened the door and walked towards Macau.

“P’Vegas.” He said when he noticed me. “What are you doing here? I thought-“ I cut him off.

“We need to go.” I said, making his eyes widen scared.

“Sorry guys.” He said packing his things before he walked with me. “What’s wrong?” He asked, afraid.

“I’ll tell you in the car.” I said, making him nod as we walked towards the car. Once there Macau got in the back and I was in the passenger seat.

“What the fuck?” He asked when he saw Pete.

“Relax he’s here to help.” I said, making Pete nod shyly before looking at Macau.

“I’m not going to hurt you two.” He said making Macau eye him suspiciously before I held Pete’s hand making Pete look at me.

“Take us there.” I said, making him nod before we drove to the Main Family Compound.

When we finally got there I sat there feeling nervous as Macau looked afraid.

“What are we doing here?” Macau asked.

“Waiting.” Pete said, making me confused.

“For what?” Macau asked.

“That.” Pete said pointing at Tankhun and his bodyguards, Kinn and Porsche were all in the back garden making me confused. “They're the main people we have to worry about, we can go in now.” Pete said getting out of the car, making me confused before me and Macau got out of the car and followed Pete behind. I looked at Macau confused as he brought my hedgehog.

"You want it to die in the heat?" Macau asked as he put the hedgehog into the pocket of his hoodie.

Pete took us to the back door of the Compound and helped us inside.  It wasn’t until we made it to the main elevator when we stopped.

“Hey. Freeze.” I heard someone say in English making me turn around to see the Australian bodyguard. “You.” He said pointing the gun at me.

“Ken. Stop.” Pete said standing in front of me.

“Pete, get out of my way.” Ken said, making Pete stand his ground.

“Pete.” I whispered, making him look back at me. “It’s fine.” I said, making him shake his head.

“No.” He said.

“Pete, get the hell away from him.” Ken said angrily. “He’s the reason Big’s and I’s pup is dead. Now get the fuck out of the way.” He said, making me confused.

“I never hurt Big. Tawan shot Big and I killed Tawan.” I said, making Pete confused.

“Yeah but since Tawan was working for you, how would I know that you didn’t want him to kill our pup.” He said, making me frown.

“You hurt an Omega?” Macau asked behind me, making me turn around.

“No. No. I promised you I would never hurt an Omega. Tawan was a beta and he was the one who hurt the Omega. I killed him because of his wrongdoing.” I said, making Macau look at me sadly.

“Ken.” Pete said, making me turn around. “Whatever happened wasn’t Vegas' fault.” He said.

“Pete.” Ken said again.

“Ken, you know I wouldn’t lie to you. I know we're not friends but we should trust each other.” Pete said, making the other sigh angrily before putting his weapon down.

“You better be right.” Ken said. “Now what are you doing here?” Ken asked.

“I need to take them to Korn.” He said, making the three of us look surprised.

“What?” We all asked.

“Look, I don't have time to explain. I just. I need you all to trust me.” He said, making Ken sigh again.

“You know if I get the call to kill you. I won’t hesitate to do it.” He said sadly.

“I know." He said sadly before Ken let us go.

We made it to the top floor where Pete knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" Someone asked.

"Chan it's me Pete. I need to talk with Mr.Korn." Pete said.

The man, Chan, opened the door and gave me and Macau a suspicious look before letting the 3 of us inside. When we made it inside Pete stopped and bowed in front of my uncle Korn. I bowed too, making Macau look confused before he also bowed.

"You too don't have to bow to me." Uncle Korn said, making the three of us stand.

"Mr. Korn." Pete said.

"Pete. You've been gone for days." Uncle said.

"That would be my fault uncle." I said honestly.

"I see." He said before looking back at Pete. "What brings my nephews here then?" He asked.

"Mr.Korn please. I beg you. Let them stay here." He said in a sad broken voice, making me want to go to him before he stopped me. "When I first came here you told me that my grandmother and my future mate will be protected at all costs." He said. "And my mate isn't safe in that house with him." He said, making me flinch lightly.

"My brother." Uncle Korn said sadly before he looked at me. "Come closer." He said gesturing towards me, making me feel afraid as I got closer. When I was close to him, I saw uncle lift up his hand making me flinch and close my eyes waiting for the hit. But it never came. I opened my eyes and saw uncle with a solemn look on his face. "I'm sorry I never realized sooner." He said, looking at me and Macau. "I'll let you stay, but we have to keep you hidden." Uncle said, making me let out a sob of relief.

I knelt down in front of uncle. "Thank you." I said, making Pete run down beside me and hug me. "Thank you." I said again, holding onto Pete. Then I felt Macau hug me as well as I broke down into sobs. "Thank you." I repeated.
