I woke up a little groggy and confused because even though it's been a week, it still feels weird waking up without your leg. It was strange, something that has been there my entire life, just gone in a matter of minutes. I woke up to see the nurse Fah smiling as she checked my vitals.

"Morning." She said to make me happy that she didn't say good morning.

"Morning." I said before adjusting myself on the bed. "What do I have to do today?" I asked her, making her smile sadly.

"We have to change the dressing of your residual limb and check for infection." She said, making me nod. "And you have some light physical therapy before lunch." She said, making me nod.

"Can I be moved closer to Vegas yet?" I asked her look sadly towards Vegas side.

"Not yet." She said, making me sigh. "But, we have to change his gauze and I recommend to the doctor that we teach you how to do it, so that you can be closer to him and will also be able to do it when you're both released." She said, making me look at her hopeful.

"Can I?" I asked hopefully.

"The doctor said that I can teach you." She said, making me smile softly.

"You'll have to eat breakfast first." She said, making me sigh annoyed. "Hey you need to recover to.” She said.

“I know. I just want to be closer to him. We found out we were mates just a few weeks ago. It’s hard being far from him for so long.” I said, making the nurse nod sadly.

“I understand.” She said softly. “Do you need to go to the restroom?” She asked, making me nod. “I’ll go get your wheelchair then.” She said leaving the room. It was quiet, except for Vegas’s heart monitor. He hasn’t woken up yet, making me and Macau worry since it has been so long, but the doctor said that he should wake up in the next few days. I waited before the nurse came back with my wheelchair. 3 days after the surgery they started moving me around so that I could get used to the missing leg. Now I had to use the wheelchair to move anywhere. Nurse Fai put the chair next to my bed before lowering it a bit and lowering the safety bar. “You think you can do it alone?” she asked.

I look at the chair before nodding. “I’ll try.” I said, making her nod. The first time I tried to do it alone, I almost fell over since I wasn’t used to the new balance. I took the blanket off of me and adjusted myself so that my leg was hanging off the bed. I put my weight onto my arms before my foot hit the floor. I tried to use the bed to balance myself, and then grabbed onto the chair when I felt myself lose balance. I managed to get myself seated onto the chair making Nurse Fai smile. “I didn’t fall.” I said, a little relieved.

“I told you, third times a charm.” She said, making me smile lightly. “I’ll go get your breakfast.” She said leaving me alone.

I unlocked the wheel on the chair before pushing myself to the restroom. Once there I used the toilet, I washed my hands and then brushed my teeth when I heard Nurse Fai walk into the room making me wash out the toothpaste before getting out of the restroom seeing the Nurse and Tankhun.

“Khun.” I said surprised. “What are you doing here?” I asked, making Tankhun smile.

“The mansion has been boring without my favorite bodyguard so I came to see you.” He said, smiling.

“I don’t think it’ll be fun here.” I said, wheeling myself to the bed and standing up to get on the bed. I used the bed for balance again before I hopped to get on the bed and got myself seated.

“You finally did it.” Tankhun said smiling.

“Yeah. Getting into bed is easy, getting out is terrible.” I said, making Nurse Fai laugh.
