CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR

I looked into the rear-view mirror of the car to see Adam and Lucy having a chat, I didn't know what they were talking. These two became inseparable every since I Introduced them,I would have been jealous if I didn't know that Adam isn't into girls and my girlfriend is absolutely inlove with me.

Yeah I know she loves me and I love her too,I love her a lot and so much more,we didn't take a lot of time or even make a big deal like other couples do when they discover that they actually love each other,we just said it and had alot of sex after.

Everything comes naturally with Lucy,she is such a free spirit and outspoken so I'm actually worried as to why she did not verbally express the fact that Lexi will be coming back into my life even though it's just as a friend.

I kept thinking to myself that I will have to talk to her later and assure her that Lexi won't be a threat to us and what we have will not be destroyed by Lexi or anyone for that matter.

I parked the car and we came out. Lucy came to hold my hand and we went inside.

One thing about my girl,she's going to show everyone that I'm HERS.

"I'm going to the junk section,and don't wait for me when you guys are through,Thomas will pick me up from here." Adam told us.

"Who is Thomas?" I asked.

"His date,and I thought it was Tim" Lucy answered me.

We both turned to look at Adam.

"Oh yes it's Tim,thanks babes" he laughed and left us. We went inside and started picking out groceries.

"Babe I think we should host a game night tomorrow" Lucy suddenly turned and said to me.

"Just us two?" I Asked her.

"You can invite anyone you want to invite to join us" she told me smiling.

"We can invite Adam,Coco and Lexi if that's ok with you" I replied her,silently praying that she doesn't notice that I included Lexi there,but if Lexi wanted to be in my life I wanted to show her that Lucy Is the one I love and choose to be with so if she is a good friend she will be happy for me.

"Ok, but I'm not sure CoCo will come though,we haven't had a proper conversation in ages,I've obviously tried reaching out to her but she is always unavailable" she told me sadly.

"Well, she will come around"I told her and drew her close to me to kiss her.

It felt like a long time since I last kissed her and she melted into me.

"Lucy is that you?" We both heard a woman's voice as we separated from the kiss.

Turning around we saw a woman and a man standing next to us.

"Of course it's you Lucy,could tell it was you from a mile away." The woman continued talking.

"Hi Sofia" Lucy responded coldly and grabbed my hand holding it tightly.

We do this to each other when we are nervous,so if seeing this people is making her nervous I wonder who they are.

"Sofia? Is that the way to speak to your aunty?" The woman whose name is Sofia asked Lucy while rolling her eyes " mark can you imagine this ingrate?, is that how to react after seeing us for a long time?" She continued talking.

"Don't mind her darling,she won't answer we all can see that she is being a slut as ever" the mark replied Sofia.

"Stupid child,let's go darling" Sofia said and pulled Mark out of the store with her.

Damn I was dumbfounded I couldn't even reply them because I didn't know who they were and it happened so fast that it left me shocked.

"Well,before you ask, that's my Uncle Mark and his wife Sofia, they got married after my parents died.Sofia was our house keeper and they moved into the house and drove me out"? Lucy answer all the numerous questions going through my head but I still had a lot off questions to ask. I decided that I will ask her later seeing that she was upset about it now.

"I'm sorry I didn't defend you" I told her pulling her to give her a Hug.

"It's ok,it was unexpected and I couldn't even reply them too,grocery stores are not their scenes so I never thought to see them ever again".

I held her like that just robbing her hair and thinking about how I didn't know most things about her when it came to her family,and I will like to know and also share in the obvious pain that she has.

I kept wondering how she survived after they sent her out of her father's house even while we were driving home.

I sent her a glance and I could see that she fell asleep,the event of the day must have been exhausting for her.

I quickly pulled my phone and called Cole to tell him that Lucy will not be able to go to work,after he assured me that everything will be fine without her and she can rest I thanked him and ordered ice cream.

Apart from being a boss,Cole was also a good friend to Lucy and that's why I don't mind so much that she works at thongs even if I don't want other men looking at my woman in a sexual way.

I pulled the car to a stop outside the house,I first carried Lucy inside and kept her in bed as I didn't want to wake her up and I left to take the rest of the groceries out of the car and placed them in their various places.

I then started making diner, I enjoy cooking especially for my girlfriend because she always appreciates,it but I couldn't stop thinking about Lucy and how degrading her uncle allowed his wife to talk to her.
