Shape-Shifter

Prologue

I wasn't a human anymore.

I realized that when I found out I could speak to horses.

No one believed me though.

No one trusted me.

The horses knew something was up, but didn't bother to ask me because they thought it would make me mad.

The wild herd of horses turned out to be a shifter herd. One of the last ones in the world. All the other ones had been slaughtered by shifter hunters.

This particular herd was called the Illusion Herd. It plays tricks on humans to think that it's a wild horse herd. The humans try to capture them and think they succeed, but then the horse magically disappears after 3 days.

I had come in contact with one of the horses, the lead stallion. Penny is an off-the race track thoroughbred, so she's extremely fast when she wants to be. When Penny took off, she came in contact with the herds most powerful horse. The stallion came in contact with me, causing me to become one of them.

Penny is a shape-shifter horse, too. When any living mammal comes in contact with a shape-shifter, they automatically become one.

The lead stallions name was Illusion. Ironic, yes.

The lead mares name was Io. After one of Jupiters moons. Jupiter is the home of the shape-shifters castle. Her sister, Europa, was named after a moon, too.

Io is one of the princesses of the shape-shifting world. She's chosen the illusion herd because when she was a foal, she used to play tricks on her parents and siblings.

Europa, on the other hoof, has chosen the intelligence herd. This was because she was part Arabian. She was more intelligent then her mother.

Io's brothers, Callisto and Ganymede, were the future kings of the shape-shifting world.

Callisto has chosen the Royal Herd because of his liability to his subjects. He is strong and handsome in all ways.

Ganymede, has chosen the Protectors of the world. He is very strong and is treated with respect all around the world.

Penny was now a servant for the king and queen of the shape-shifters. I was in isolation. Penny was my "helper", like I needed one. It was nice to have her company. She told all the things that I did wrong when I rode her in human form.

I had a crush on Ganymede, because of his strong muscles all around his body. His long, beautiful mane flew in the winds of Jupiter.
