chapter twenty

sooae's pov

"sooae? are you still there?" vernon asked.

"oh, i'm sorry."

"why? anything wrong?"

"no. it's just.. this blouse. wonwoo's the one who bought it for me."

he looked at me with worried eyes.

"so, you're still wearing that? do you want us to-"

"no, no need. i don't want to burden your father."

"okay then. if that's what you say."

then, after a while, we've finally arrived. i thanked vernon's father as we both stepped into the mall.

"oh, there you guys are." joshua said when he noticed us.

i waved and him and walked to his direction.

"is that your boyfriend?" vernon asked while pointing at jeonghan.

"yes, isn't he pretty?"

"um, i look better. but, whatever. you should go with them first, ill need to buy something first."

"what? seriously, vernon?"

"yes. by the way, what do you think? purple or pink?"

"huh?"

"just choose."

"pink." he nodded and walked to somewhere.

i then continue walking to jeonghan's direction.

"where is he going?" dokyeom asked.

"i don't know. but, he said we can go first, he'll come to us later."

"okay, then." joshua said as we all moved with me next to jeonghan.

"who's that guy?" jeonghan asked.

"he's my bestfriend, vernon. i actually want you both to get to know each other today."

"does shua and dokyeom knew him?"

"yes, they've met once." he nodded.

"why did you asked?"

"um, nothing. he just.. um.."

"he what?"

"he looked familiar, yeah kinda." he continued.

"oh, maybe you've seen him somewhere."

"yeah, i guess so." i looked infront, we've arrived at the cinema.

"um, i will buy some popcorns and drinks for us. you guys can go inside first." joshua said.

"no, let me go with you." dokyeom said, and he playfully winked at me. silly.

"okay, then." jeonghan said and we both get inside the cinema room(?).

we looked at our tickets and sat at the seat written on it. jeonghan sat next to me with two remaining seat is next to him while the other one is beside me.

"jeonghan."

"um?"

"don't get angry if i asked you this but, why are you suddenly so kind to me?" he looked at me with a blank face.

"cause.. you are my girlfriend? also, this is the way for me to makeup how bad i treated you before since after this we won't talk to each other anymore. so i think why not i treat you better for this one month?" he answered, sarcastically.

so, he really think that he won't fall for me? ouch, it hurts. but, it's okay. i'll be fine.

"ohh." i said as he continued scrolling through his phone.
