The poison is not a threat.

Tighnari only remembered these few words.

"That's bullshit." He snorted. "If it weren't, then why wouldn't I be able to spill how or when I was poisoned?"

Although... if you truly want to rid yourself of it-

"Alright!" Tighnari boldly declared. "I'm officially going to-"

Click.

Tighnari jolted his neck to look in the direction of the opened door.

Speak of the devil. He thought.

Cyno stood in the doorway, with a few Sumerian cultivators.

They were chatting intently about what seemed to be the war against the Liyuean Sect.

Tighnari ducked behind a bookshelf.

He couldn't help it.

He wanted to know.

"We're losing terribly." Cyno sighed. "The Liyuean Sect seems to have gone after us first, before heading towards the Inazuman Sect."

"But isn't their vice leader out of commission?"

"They have two other reunion cultivators, with many more with the potential of reaching reunion."

"Wait, but General Mahamatra-" Another cultivator spoke up. "Didn't another few cultivators in our sect, including you, have the potential to reach reunion?"

"..."

"Please. We need all the help we can get." One cultivator pleaded. "Our men are dying-"

"I know!" Cyno interjected, frustrated. "That's why I've decided to join the next battle."

"But-"

"As much as we appreciate it, General, you're only a Void cultivator. We can't afford losing you."

Cyno stopped, glaring at the cultivator. "I understand I'm weaker than the others, but you can't convince me."

He turned, and swept out the room.

The cultivators watched helplessly, and only could sigh.

"Is it really necessary we go that route?"

"Mhm." Another one said grimly.

"It will work, right?"

"Master Al Haitham said so."

"Then we should."

Huh? Tighnari thought.

Whatever. He shrugged.

"I'm not the Vice Leader anymore, I can't be bothered with things like these. I'm just your average citizen now."

. . .

"Master Cyno. The Sect Leader sent you these gifts in hopes of your safe return."

Cyno nodded absentmindedly. "Just leave it here."

He glanced at the pile of boxes. They had the seal of the Sect Leader on them, so he had no reason to refuse them.

"Cultivators Dehya and Al Haitham request you to attend their banquet."

"Decline the invitation." Cyno said, waving his hand.

"But-"

"I don't have the time for such unnecessary things."

"But they're holding the banquet in your dining hall."

"Alright- wait WHAT?"

...

Slam.

"Where are Dehya and Al Haitham?" Cyno asked, his voice dangerously calm.

"They... left." A cultivator said, shocked by the general's sudden appearance.

"Goddamnit..." Cyno cursed mentally.

A girl approached him, blushing.

"Well, now that you're here, you can toast to the Sect leader with us!"

Unable to refuse this request (as it would harm his reputation), he took the cup.

"To the Sect Leader!" The entire hall declared, before downing their own cups of alcohol.

Cyno uncomfortably shifted, putting down his cup.

The girl followed Cyno, while he tried his best to ignore her existence.

A few Inazuman cultivators had gone to "his" banquet, and they nodded their heads at him, almost completely ignoring the existence of the girl.

He finally grew annoyed, and turned to face her.

"What do you want?" He demanded.

"Can you go somewhere with me?" She pleaded to him.

"...I guess." He muttered, his mind cloudy.

A flight of stairs that he barely recognized, and an open door was all he remembered. He didn't know why he didn't refuse the girl, and he barely gained consciousness when she shoved him into a room.

Huh? Cyno thought. Dizzy...?

"Have fun General~" The girl whispered, before locking the door.

Tighnari laid in the bed in front of him, clearly uncomfortable.

And Cyno was finally hit with the effects of the drug.

"Aphrodisiac." He remembered, his movements becoming harder and harder to control. He tried to blast the door open, but it had been sealed.

He couldn't break the seal.

A reunion cultivator. It couldn't be from the Inazuman Sect, as they didn't have the time to pull things like this. Mondstadt, maybe? No, they had a pact to never resort to dirty tricks like sabotage. So... who?

Cyno felt his face flush red, as he sluggishly made his way to the bed.

No! No! He internally screamed.

However, his desires were only fueled when he saw Tighnari's expression.

He was in clear discomfort, his face flushed a deep shade of red.

"Cyno..." Tighnari whispered.

Why did he sound so alluring?

Cyno smashed his head against the wall, trying to prevent himself from submitting to the Poison of Desire.

He failed.

Tighnari was hugging his tail, his ears pressed against his head.

"It's okay. The effects can't be avoided anyway." He finally said.

The poison got to their heads, preventing them from thinking clearly.

Cyno only remembered finally giving up, and submitting to his uncontrollable desires.
