4 - Promise

"So Saikawa, mind getting off the floor it's kind of gross you know?" Currently Yui Saikawa is bowing on the ground and I don't know what the hell to do in this situation.

"But it's my fault, I made a lot of decisions on my own and ended up just causing more trouble for you three..." So she won't get up yet huh? "Uhm, I don't know about Kanaf and Kimizuka but can you maybe explain Yui?" Nagisa asked in a gentle tone as she helped her stand up.

Saikawa slowly removed her eyepatch to show a gem of a left eye similar to the color of my earring.

This is Saikawa's Backstory that I don't really feel like typing tbh so go back to the anime or something if you need a refresher.

"I understand that Saikawa but, are you really okay with accepting the condition for not killing us. That penalty is no joke you know that right?" Kimihiko asked Saikawa who was instantly looked afraid. "Huh? What are you trying to say K-kimizuka..?"

"But Kimizuka, Saikawa already confessed her lie right? What else could there be?" Nagisa asked Kimihiko who looked at Saikawa without responding.

"If I had to guess sorry for this Nagisa but the plan was for us to die from the start. Our dear Saikawa was in on it too." As I looked at Saikawa she had a complex expression I couldn't read.

"The target was probably me I assume while Natsunagi and Kanaf were just going to be extras right?" He asked as if he already knew the answer but I'm sure...

"No that's not true, the main target was Kanaf Kazuki. He was too dangerous to be left alone, especially after all the moves he was making they said." Saikawa answered in a matter of a fact tone while Nagisa and Kimihiko looked at me while I didn't say a word.

"What kind of moves? Hey what's going on Kanaf, why can't you say something?" Nagisa asked from my side as she pulled on my shirt while I remained silent for a moment. "I... can't say atleast yet. You both aren't ready for that knowledge sorry Nagisa." I went to pat her head but she slapped my hand away.

"Don't give me that! You aren't alone so why do you need to do everything alone!? Why don't you trust us, or even just me?" She was becoming more and more emotional until she punched me in the chest. "I do trust you, shouldn't you know that already? But if I told you now then my preparation will be for naught. So just trust me, atleast for until I can properly explain everything."

Suddenly Kimihiko's phone began to ring and it was Fuubi Kase saying all the explosives inside were successfully removed. Turns out their aim was for us to guard the vault then blow it sky high.

"So to protect her left eye then get these three killed, right Saikawa?" Kimihiko asked presenting the truth of the matter while the girl in question just looked down. "But naturally they aren't actually kind, they wanted both our lives and your eye since it's more than a pretty gem right?"

She didn't speak for awhile until the looked up. "Kimizuka, is that thing in your bag for self defense?" He smirked as he reached inside. "Who knows? Maybe I'm just used to these situations?" As the both of them pulled guns Nagisa ran behind me in fear.

"Kanaf what's going on?..." Nagisa was trembling as she tightly held onto me while I just put my hand on her pulling her closer not moving my eyes from the scene in front of me.
