5 - Trip

A week and some change later it was summer vacation what meant beach time.

"Boat full steam ahead to Aegean!" Saikawa and Nagisa yelled over the side of the boat while Kimihiko and I just watched them.

"You two... that's a bit much no? Plus weren't we going to some nearby beach, why do we have to go in this stuffy boat?" Kimihiko started complaining making Nagisa sigh at him

"I mean you said the beach right? Why not go big or go home Kimizuka, plus the boat already left so what's done is done." Saikawa said it so naturally I almost believed it for a moment.

"Like hell idiot!" I patted him on the shoulder. "Come on relax Kimihiko girls don't like wishy washy guys. Plus we aren't paying so who cares in the end?"

Nagisa took off her sunglasses and slapped them on my face and fixed my bed hair up. "There! Now you look ready for a relaxing vacation." She was wearing a white tee with baggy shorts. "Nagisa dear, I want to go inside I feel like I'm gonna melt... plus your swimsuit straps are visible you know." She went from a good mood to mad and hit me on the head.

"We've never been on a cruise atleast I know Kanaf and I haven't so thanks Yui we appreciate it. Although someone is complaining right now." She said the last part exaggeratedly on purpose. "Because it's hot! My clothes are killing me."

"Then strip?" She said it as if it was obvious but that's naive Nagisa.

"We aren't in the bedroom honey plus there's a cheeky middle schooler right there." I pointed to Saikawa who was just grinning while Nagisa was becoming flustered.

"You... die twice! You're an idiot!" Nagisa ran off somewhere leaving me with her sunglasses. I noticed Kimihiko had walked off at some point and I looked down at Saikawa. "You know... Nagisa seems really fun to tease."

"I know right? But seriously though thanks, she's having a lot of fun already I appreciate it Saikawa. You offered to pay in the first place I know it wasn't cheap." She smiled at me and took my sunglasses and did a pose until she wore a gloomy expression. "You're welcome I mean it's the least I can do. Since after what I did..."

"Didn't we say don't worry about it? Nagisa is fine and you'll be with us for our stand against SPES that's enough you know?"

"You know, I think I get it. Although if you keep staring at me like that you'll give me the wrong idea, Nagisa will get mad at you again." She folded our arms and looked at me as if I did something wrong. I'm the good guy here!

"What's wrong with staring at a cute girl?"

"FuRh!?" Saikawa ended up accidentally letting out some type of noise while I just smirked at her.

"Oh, is Yui-Nya that weak to compliments? How sad you should be an idol." I ruffled her hair  messing it up only making her more annoyed.

"Shut up! You're supposed to be subtle about these things! Idiot!"

I got hit with a cold glass on top of my head with an angry girlfriend. This time she was in her swimsuit with her hair tied up.

"Wow. I treat you to an ice cold drink before I start playing with Yui and I come back to you hitting on a middle schooler. I expected better." I grabbed the drink and she took Saikawa and walked off in a huff. I'll have to make it up to her later I guess.

Currently I was on the main deck of the ship relaxing with Nagisa. We had found hammocks and lawn chairs so naturally I ran to it while Nagisa just sighed at me and got in the one next to me. Hammocks sure are nice huh?

"Hey Kanaf." After a while of silence so long I forgot what we were doing in the first place she broke it.

"What's up Nagisa? Got to pee?" She gave me dirty look with a murderous glare. "I-I was joking, well what's up Nagisa?"

"Why do you wear that earring, you even sleep with it on. Also... when did you leave that place, we didn't leave together so I always worried about it. I was scared to ask because I could tell you constantly had something on your mind but this feels fitting to ask right now." She didn't look at me but at the sky the whole time and I observed the sea.

"I wear it because it was a gift. From someone important, I'll probably treasure it for the rest of my life. They saved my life I guess." Nagisa looked at me and we held eye contact until she got up and laid next to me in my hammock.

"I might get the wrong idea you know? I do get handsy when things are in reach you know?" She looked me in the eyes with her long black hair and red ribbon enchanting my eyes. Her beauty was astounding, I could only make lame jokes or teases to keep myself from trying something.

"I don't mind... something like that you know. But, I'm more worried about you right now!" She stuck her fingers up my nostrils.

"I'm not a masochist like you Nagisa. This just hurts so I'll tell you dear."

"Ew your nose has boogers..."

"Don't stick your hand in someone's nose! Plus you're totally lying!"

We both laughed and went closer to each other until our bodies were together and we were snuggling with my arm wrapped around her.

"Well for what it's worth Nagisa, you did leave before me. I stayed behind a year and then left, made some friends and went to school with Kimihiko. It definitely wasn't easy without you but when you're in my arms it doesn't feel so bad, I did end up with a few friends. Good people in high places, some... aren't exactly here." Nagisa hugged me tightly and rubbed my head gently.

"Hey, let's go to my room Kanaf. I think I want to try on some swimsuits for you." She stood up and looked at the sky randomly until I understood.

"Sure sure, I'll be sure to give you my opinion in full." She blushed but was more excited than me and dragged me to our room.
