Thoughtless Love

Chapter Nine: Truth Be Told

(Allison turned and realized there was only darkness). I just realized that when they say you see your whole life again when you die.
Yeah, that was just it. It was in novel version.
Why is everything black? I'm so confused.
(Mirrors begin to appear).
Why is there a mirror?
(Haunting, echoing singing began.)
"I found a love"
"For me"
Nicholas is that you? Where are you?
(In the mirror forms like a video from the ceiling down and Allison is on a hospital bed. She has tubes everywhere and a machine in breathing for her. Nicholas is singing this song to her while holding her hand.)
"Darling just dive right in and follow my lead."
Nicholas I'm here. I can hear you! Look at me!
(Allison began banging on the mirror and it cracked and shattered, but the haunting singing continued.)
"Well I found a girl beautiful and sweet"
(Another mirror lit up. It showed the hospital room again. This time Nicholas is holding a baby, and all of Allison's children are there but about a year older.)
"Oh I never knew you were the one waiting for me"
(Allison hit her hand on the mirror again.)
Nicholas I'm here. (She slid down the mirror and then it shattered.)
(Another mirror lit up and showed her a memory. Target parking lot. She saw herself and Nicholas laughing and singing. Allison was able to zoom in closer to the windshield.)
"I didn't know you were something I could need
Until you, until you loved my everything
The good, the bad, the in between, all of me"
Look at me!
(Allison just kept singing in her memory. Allison dropped to floor and began to cry.)
Nicholas where are you. I love you. I love my kids. I want to get out of here.
(Echoing singing began again. It was her own voice)
"I could die in your eyes for the rest of my life.
I could die in your eyes until the end of time"
(A strange man appeared and a bench)
Who are you?
(The man just stared at her.)
"Let us weigh the love in your heart" the man said.
The love in my heart.
(He pulled out a scale with a feather on the other end.)
"Yes. If you have enough, we'll try to send you back."
(He then put his hand in her chest and pulled her heart out. But it wasn't enough and the feather was heavier. Allison began to cry.)
I just want to go home to the love of my life and my children.
(A tear fell down her cheek and onto her heart. All of a sudden the heart was heavier.)
"You have enough love in your heart. Are you ready to go back?"
Yes!
(A mirror appeared and it was from the ceiling again and she was in the hospital bed.)
What do I do?
"Just walk through. It's like water. It is a portal. Just remember don't change who you are. Life is going to bring you many struggles and hard times ahead but as long as you push forward and be you, you will be okay."

Allison walked through the portal and fell on top of her body. That is when Allison opened her eyes and alarms and everything started going off.
"What is going on in here?" Exclaimed a nurse
"Oh my goodness. Doctor! Doctor. We need you now! She's awake!!" Yelled the nurse.
So many people poured into Allison's room including Nicholas. He dropped his backpack.
"Allison! You're awake! Oh my."
The nurses took all the tubes off of her.
"Take things slow," the doctor said. "We can't move quickly because we don't want to hurt your body."
"What happened?" Allison asked.
"You were in a horrible gruesome accident" the doctor exclaimed.
"They had to put you in a coma to protect you and the baby. But you didn't wake up after the c section." Nicholas said with tears running down his face.
"Baby? C section?" Allison questioned.
"A girl. I named her Camila Violet." Nicholas spoke.
"She's beautiful and looks exactly like you and her sisters."
"How long was I out?" Allison asked
"One year and 4 months. Camila is 6 months old." Nicholas answered.
"I love you. But I want to see my kids." Allison said.
"They're in the waiting room. We come every day. I'll go get them." Nicholas said.
About 5 minutes later, all of Allison's kids walked through the door. Matthew and Olivia were so big. They had grown so much. Allison was amazed. Matthew had a big smile and of course he was so handsome in his cowboy hat and boots. Olivia had long curly hair with her grey eyes and beautiful green dress. Daisy then walked in. So beautiful. Her grey eyes lightened the room up. Phoebe and Delilah then walked in together. Both were dressed in the same dress but different colors. Phoebe was in purple and Delilah was in pink. They had a long braid down their back and dimples that could catch anyones attention. Liam walked in. He was so handsome. He looked exactly like Nicolas. Caleb and Chloe were carried in by Nicholas. My babies were so big. They looked so alike and we're both wearing red. They could stand and walk all on their own. Then my mom walked in with a baby car seat. She put the car seat on the bed and I looked in it. And sure enough there was a 6 month old baby in there. Who looked at me like Allison was looking into a mirror. She was the mirror image of me exactly like her sisters. So beautiful with baby blue eyes and dark brown hair. Rosy cheeks and deep dimples that could make a tear run down your face. Allison smiled and took baby Camila out of the car seat and smiled at her and said "hi Camila. I'm your momma." Camila smiled back and snuggled in Allison's arms.
"I am so happy to be here with you all." Exclaimed Allison.

Three weeks later. No test could prove what happened to Allison and why she all of a sudden woke up. The doctors had no clue but to just call it a miracle. They went back to their home in Austin, Texas.
It was beautiful and Nicholas added some extra modifications to the remodel that Allison really wanted. She was very happy.

She told Nicholas and her mom what she saw after the monitor said she flatlined in the ambulance.
"It was a surreal moment. I saw my entire life read before me as if I was telling it and watching it at the same time."
Nicholas and her mom looked at her in shock. They weren't sure on wether to believe her or if she was just dreaming about her life. But they were happy she was okay. And they all started their life anew and got to all be together forever.
Allison had her mom, her children, her career, and the love of her life. Everything was perfect in this moment and in the coming years.
She couldn't help but wonder what the strange man had told her in the blackness. She tried not to think about it. She finally got it out of her mind and became an ever better daughter, wife, mother, and just overall person that she could.
Years past and everything was perfect and magical.
They lived every day full of thankfulness and gratitude.
They basically lived happily ever after.
