You make your way over to the iconic pair, a giddy smile plastered all over your face. You almost forgot to grab some food, turning back around to walk the other way towards the food table.
You head over to the table where some older cadets stand.
They look quite gloomy and bored out of their brains, just standing there in silence. Some hold a ladle, while others hold plates and cups. Your eyebrows furrow slightly, your excitement dropping as you stop in front of the table.
It was the same food as yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before that. Bread and soup. You sigh inwardly, your head lowering in disappointment.
"Here." A gruff voice speaks, causing you to jump in surprise. You look back up, noticing a blonde cadet standing in front of you, thrusting out a bowl filled halfway up with soup, and some bread resting on the rim. The food surprisingly smells good, a faint scent of vegetables and spices wafting up your nose.
You take the food gratefully from his outreached hands, thanking him quickly before you head over to Connie and Sasha.
"Wait! You forgot your water." The same voice yells. You spin back around, and scuffle over, not wanting to spill the soup that is becoming more lukewarm by each ticking minute. You take the cup of him and offer him a tight-lipped smile.
You turn back around once more, hoping that you can walk back in peace without being interrupted once again.
Thankfully, luck seems to be on your side.
You weave through the tables and their occupants, seeing Connie and Sasha at the end of the table. Just as you are a few metres away, you notice a tall guy walk over to where they sit. Squinting your eyes, you recognise the brown mullet, causing you to scoff and turn on your heels.
'I am not putting up with that shitty motherfucker right now. He can go and suck my huge dick.'
Your eyes fall upon Eren, who seems to be listening to one of Armin's amazing stories about life outside the wall. You smile, not realising you were standing there for a few good seconds staring whimsically at the boys.
You shake your head, snapping out of your trance.
It was only then when you notice Mikasa sitting next to Eren, laughing at something he must of just said. She appears to be leaning in quite closely to Eren, her dark hair falling over her face as she leans down laughing.
You scowl, turning away from their direction.
You hug the tray closely to your chest, making sure that when you walk through the massive surges of people, you don't spill your food.
You make your way to the door, planning on going outside to eat in the comfort of just yourself and some silence.
However, you didn't seem to realise that a specific green-eyed boy had been watching you for the majority of the time, and watched you closely as you left the bustling room.
