~May~
Before I could move, Liam was already downstairs and out the door, running in the direction of the scream. He had always been a very impulsive man, not thinking of the dangers that could lie ahead. I briefly watched him through the foggy window as he ran through all of the brush and flowers in The Meadow, before I swung the heavy, wooden door open right behind him and ran in the same direction. As I ran up the floral hill, I began to see his figure along with Jules' silhouette crouching on the ground.
Jules, sobbing hysterically, was clinging onto Liams legs and shaking tremendously.
I carefully walked infront of the two, studying Jules' face, I was typically able to tell what was wrong from the look. However, it was a different pain than I had ever seen before. Jules was in excruciating pain at the moment, unable to catch her breath.
But then I saw the issue, not from Jules' look, but from the dead woman at my feet.
~Jules~
Sharp pains rushed up and down my spine, my head clouded with thoughts and memories, thinking of the experiences leading up to it all. Despite all of the rushing thoughts, I only had one question;
What the hell did I do to deserve this?
My mother laid still, lifeless at May's feet. Her eyes were gracefully shut, just as they were when she asked me for her tea in her soft yet affirming tone only days before any of this.
I was a Girl of Pity. Liam and May watched me in my state of panic with immense and growing worry in their eyes. Realizing I was clutching onto Liam's thin legs with a deadly grip, I let go of him with haste.
I looked over The Meadow, down at May and Liams home. They had their baby sleeping there, they were engaged, still in the puppy dog love stage they have been in since we were teenagers.
And I was crying hysterically over my dead mothers body, clueless as to how she was dead at my best friends feet.

Hello loves! In the famous words of Slim Shady, guess who's back, back again! I am very sorry for the extremely long and unexpected hiatus. I was going through a terrible place mentally and I am happy to say that I am climbing out of that hole of depression. I am hoping to become as regular with my chapters as I was when I started this series over a year ago! Wow, already a year?! Its crazy to think about. I would love, love, love to thank dark0academia with my heart and soul for continuing to be a loyal online friend to me even when I wasn't being consistent with uploading chapters and being rather distant from everything. If you are not her and you're reading this, GO FOLLOW HER SHES A FABULOUS WRITER AND A VERY KIND PERSON!! I am sorry the chapter is short, but I am trying to ease myself back into writing and the chapters will get longer as I do that. I am glad that everyone was patient with me. I hope to see you in the next chapter and happy reading~! ♡♡♡
